Burton Ignis S2 1E Reviews

This is my first purchase of a high security safe, so I undertook quite alot of research before choosing this unit. It is fireproof, police & insurance approved and even anti drill proof.

What really appealed to me was that UK military also use these safes. So if its good enough for them bla bla ... :)

For its small size it is pretty heavy. So not easy to move around with unless 2 or 3 strong blokes lift it . Even so we have it installed into a concrete floor in our workshop but it could even be left as is.

The electronic keypad is solid and an external 9volt battery could be used to access should you forget to change internal battery. We have it programmed with 4 different keycodes.

On the whole really happy with the purchase.

The service and advice from Safe.co.uk was brilliant. The safe is also a very good home safe so I have recommended to my family.

The Ignis S2 1E gives us every thing we need in a safe. It is easy to fix, has a useful tray, key hooks and is easy to use. It has 60 minutes paper protection, which is more than the fire service recommendation of 30 minutes. The area Crime Prevention Officer was complimentary about the ratings and the the certification that the safe has.

This seems like a decent safe. It feels solid and the walls are a good thickness. I can't really comment on the security beyond that as I've not destructively tested it.

The interior isn't very big, but easily accepts A4 documents etc.

The slide out tray can only be slid out if you can open the door fully, so you will need plenty of room to the hinge side of the safe.

Supplied anchor bolts were long but not very good quality and an awkward size too large for a 12mm hole and too small for a 13mm hole..

Safe turned up on the appointed day. Kept in touch and very well communicated. Safe was faulty on delivery but the important point about this is that Safe.co.uk were straight onto it. They contacted the manufacturers who are Burton who immediately came out and spent all weekend trying to remedy the issue. After gallantly trying to resolve the issue it was decided to replace the safe which Burton arranged for the Monday morning. It all went ahead and by Monday afternoon I had a working and fitted safe. I cannot praise enough the lady at Safe.co for her constant and professional communication throughout and the professionalism of Burton Safes in their commitment to customer satisfaction. I would wholeheartedly recommend both companies, they excel at what they do. Well done all and huge appreciated thanks.
