The order process was simple. Ordered it online and the safe arrived when it was meant to. Very well packaged and the delivery service was outstanding. It was very heavy so the driver bought it into the house. Easy to unpackage and screw to the floor with the bolts and instructions supplied. Set up instructions were easy to follow. Changed my code and set up I did individual user codes for other people. It’s very spacious inside and there is no chance a burglar could remove it. Love the fact that it’s fire safe too for a period of time. Great product.

The Chubbsafes Home 50E has been ideal for our purposes. It's solidly built and nicely finished and, importantly, very easy to use. Now that the safe is discretely positioned and firmly bolted into place, we no longer worry about house hold property theft. There is an emotional attachment to most of our valuables which insurance would never be able to replace, so the decision to buy the Chubbsafe Home 50E was a good one. This is the first safe we have bought; I'd recommend this type of home security to anyone, and we were surprised at the low-cost relative to the build quality.

Well made and simple to use

This safe met our brief of requirements nicely. It was easy to set up and seems to be working very well.

The safe is very well built, secure and holds a lot of important stuff. It stands bolted to the floor but is very easy to bend down and get to. I have had to buy a new safe because of our move, I researched thoroughly and this was a great choice in terms of security, value for money and well built.

Pro's:

-Well made and good quality safe from a trusted brand.

-Easy to install and bolts supplied are very large.

-Digital lock is seamless once setup and has a twist/open action.

-You will need some industrial level equipment to open it (probably a diamond tipped disc cutter).

-Internal shelf.

-Nicely finished.

-Easy to replace external battery for lock.

Con's:

-Safe could be a little heavier (approx. 46 Kilograms) although this is nice to have.

-Instructions for electronic digital lock are a little convoluted and hard to identify which mode.

-No safe light, but a quick search and you can get a motion activated battery LED.

-Packaging could be a bit more discrete (NOT CHUBB all over it) although appreciate it has to come on a pallet.

Not been used yet but happy with the quality upto now.

Great product. The instructions for use are clear and simple once you get over the two instruction sets provided for compatibility. For a new user, just choose one and away you go. Really very simple. The battery for the electronic lock is one the outside and can be easily changed once it has gone flat. So no worries about being locked out. The safe is provided with a secret 'master reset code in a separate envelope, which if stored somewhere outside of the safe in a secure location, will again provide peace of mind. Bought the safe for its high security rating, which is essential for our household insurance. Great value for money.

Quick and easy process and quick delivery

Overall great. Easy to install and setup. One downside is that the codes have to be 6 digits and if you make a mistake on entering you have to enter the rest of the digits before being able to start over. It's a shame the safe isn't just 5mm wider inside, which would then allow storage of larger MacBook Pro laptops (same with 2014 and 2021 models), but these can be stored at an angle. The safe arrived on a small wooden pallet and this made it easy to move on a sack trolley - even up stairs. Otherwise everything else about the safe is great.

Seems to be very robust and secure.

Having the digital lock seems to be an expensive option, but better than having a key which would have to be stored somewhere safe.

The safe has a large capacity and can house all the paperwork and valuables that we have.

There are no issues with the quality, size and build of the safe and suits our needs (i.e. insurance rating). Also very impressed with the service provided by safe.co.uk and the courier who went above and beyond on delivery. However, the only issue was setting the combination lock ( but that could be us having difficulty following instructions)
