Chubbsafes Zeta Grade 1 - 20E Reviews

This is an excellent safe which was easily fitted by my builder. He was pleased to find all the necessary parts were included for building it into the wall. It looks smart and neat and closes with a satisfying clunk. Now that the code is programmed in I find it easy to use though the instructions were not easy to follow. So far as I can tell it is secure: I hope not to put this to the test! I am not quite sure that my reservations about storage capacity are fair: it just did not quite fit a couple of items I had hoped to keep in it: I should have done my measuring more accurately.

Having dealt with Safe.co.uk on a previous occasion it was our first port of call when we required to upgrade the rating on our safe. Their website is comprehensive and through the filters it was easy to find what we required - a small safe but with a 10K cash rating and a Eurograde classification.

The Chubbsafes Zeta Grade 1 - 20E was exactly what we required and its quality lived up to Chubbs reputation. It is significantly well made and its weight and strength were immediately apparent (especially when trying to lift it!)

Everything required for an easy installation was included, the instructions were very clear to follow and we are delighted with our purchase.

Delivery was prompt and efficient with information clear and precise by email.

Sturdy, electronic lock is preferred over fears of losing keys! Would have been great to have a light inside the safe too.

This safe isn’t cheap so it’s very disappointing to see the lock stop working a little more than 2 years after purchase. With only a 2 year warranty, I will have to pay the of repairing the faulty lock which is estimated to be £200-300.

In terms of the fault itself: we have to enter the code multiple times before the door opens (can range anywhere from opening 1st time to opening on the 10th attempt). Again, not what you expect from a premium product.

The biggest flaw with this safe is the lack of a manual key to operate the safe when the electronic lock, which is clearly not a robust reliable mechanism, fails.

Overall I regret purchasing this safe and would recommend people consider an alternative brand/products

Really impressed with this and certainly the best option that I researched.

Compact, but more than enough space. And feels reassuringly solid. Easy to use keyboard and a nice smooth mechanism.

All in all looks and feels premium, good quality and re-assuringly solid.

Buying a safe is difficult, what size, how heavy is it and how large, and how do I fix it. I found out all the answers with Safe.co.uk and I found the right deal with delivery, as it is heavy. Chubb have a good reputation and I went for this one. I wanted it fitted into a wardrobe at chest height, fixed to a solid brick wall. It all went to plan, except I found it difficult to change the security code. It turned out that I was not quick enough to put in the new numbers so it would time out and go back to the delivery number. Once I had sorted that out, it has been great, and the security it gives provides peace of mind.

Having researched a number if 10K rated safes, this Chubb safe offered the best features and value for money. It is built to a very high quality and is supplied with an adjustable shelf that can be fitted to suit your storage needs. A great safe for any household or small businesd

We bought two Zeta Grade 1-20E safes; high quality products that are easy to use, with simple instructions and give peace of mind in providing added security. Having the Safe installation option by a qualified team was a really plus.
