We have a number of these entry level mechanical push button locks at Sussex Downs College and they provide a comprehensive range of functions for light duty entry control, for inner office doors, storage rooms and cupboards throughout our building premises. They would also be ideal for sheds, garage-to-house doors or cupboards at home.

This CL100 mechanical locks offer excellent value for money. Delivered with random, unrecorded codes, which are simple to change by following the clear instructions provided. Installation couldn't be simpler either - just drill one hole for the spindle, two holes for the fixing bolts and one extra if a mortice latch is required.

Would we buy more? Yes. Would we recommend this product? Yes.

This is a classic simple codelock design, ergonomically and aesthetically. It's well built (quite heavy) and its positive operation makes it feel like a quality lock when you use it. You could say there's a touch of Volkswagen about it!

I particularly like the holdback function which sets the door unlocked for daytime use.

Changing the code is a little bit fiddly, involving moving internal parts with a supplied tool, but it's not unduly difficult. And if need be, you can change the code again and again. **87**

Fitting the lock is very straightforward thanks to the comprehensive instructions, diagrams and supplied templates (to guide marking the drill holes).

The lock has now been in operation for some months with no hint of any problem.
