As a postwoman, there's not much I don't know about letter boxes...I've dealt with them all and this is the best. Firstly, it's a top loader which allows for 'flats' - that's magazines, brochures, Do Not Bend envelopes and anything of A4ish format. Front loaders, more often than not, are plain useless in this regard. This Brabantia box also features a generous slot enabling small parcels to be deposited too - a real bonus. It's the postie's choice and was the only box I considered when buying. Indeed, my own postie gave me a wink and a thumbs up when he first saw it.

The Brabantia box is really well made (I've seen ones years and years old that still look like new), easy to fit and cavernous - just choose your colour and buy it...you may think it expensive but I promise you, this is real value for money.

First of all, the safe shop is excellent in regard to dispatching orders. So they arrive quickly, and they're well packaged.

The letter box is very sturdy. It has a flap on the top to keep the weather out, and the hinges are strong. This covers the hole where the post goes through, which is wide enough for cardboard covered A4 sized books, which we have had delivered.

The internal of the letter box is spacious enough for the A4 cardboard covered books plus the usual mail, and then some.

The front opening door is hinged again with metal hinges which are again very sturdy.

It comes with two keys.

We didn't want a letter box in our new door, as we have a dog that jumps up and scratches. So we had to have our post in an external box. I was worried about people being able to gain our details and steal our identities, so I needed to get a good strong box, and it needed to look great against our new front door.

I am impressed with this letter box, and I would recommend it.

We are exceptionally pleased with the new post box. Having had soggy mail for quite some time, it's really pleasant to collect clean, dry mail plus it's large enough to accept small parcels.

The assembly/fitting was simple too, my husband had it up and ready in no time at all.

Having had issues with 2 previous mail boxes, we asked our postman's for any recommendations and this is the one he suggested. It was a little more expensive than others available, but I am a great believer in you get what you pay for.

Very good, robust and easy to use, but definitely not impressed by the hinges for the top flap which don't live up to the rest of the finish and otherwise good build quality

There are far cheaper equivalent items on the market; they look equivalent. Only a trial would confirm this. Fixing was quite reasonably easy and the spring effect of the rubber washers is a strong point. Cheaper models may well bolt straight to the wall and be rigid, trap moisture and corrode as a result. For receiving newspapers, especially more than one, this box is strictly minimal in size; even an extra 10% in every direction would accommodate this minor irritation. Equivalent models tend to be smaller! The lock and key appear top be of high quality so security is OK. Stuff cold be thieved with a pair of tongs from the top opening. A side opening would be preferable

This product fitted our needs exactly, it is of an attractive design, the steel is quite thick making it substantial unlike some other mail boxes. The finish is good and seems to be standing up to some quite harsh exposure in a coastal environment . It was delivered extremely quickly unlike other deliveries we have received, and it was also comparatively very good value, quite a lot cheaper than on other sites such as Amazon.

The lock is easy to use and seems quite secure and the box is big enough to accommodate all of our mail. It is also wide enough at the top to get small packets in.

Not as large as I would like, most small packages will not fit, just standard letters and perhaps a periodical. Would not have to be much larger to be more useful, because of the size I will now have to purchase another larger box for parcels, all a bit frustrating. It is not the fault of The Safe Shop, the product was exactly as described it is just that Brabantia need to look at what they are manufacturing in a bit more detail against what people actually require. Especially at this time of year (Xmas) when the box gets filled very quickly with junk mail and Xmas cards.

Having a new front door with no letter box fitted, we were searching for a good looking, weather proof and secure post box that would match our door. Fortunately while searching the internet and high street stores we came across the Safe.co..uk. Web site. We found exactly what we were looking for. Ordering was so easy and it was delivered exactly when it was supposed to. It was packed very well, so no damage in transit. Fitting instructions were simple to follow, and all the necessary screws, washers and spacers were included. I fitted on the wall alongside the front door and it looked amazing, thankyou.

We ordered this postbox because we'd recently had a new composite door fitted in Anthracite grey and we wanted something that matched. Its a perfect colour match.

It was easy to attach to wall. There is no problem with the top blowing open at all so the post stays dry.

The postman also commented that it was a good size - He said a lot of them are too small to fit the post in.. All in all very happy with this product. Does the job and looks ok.

One drawback is that it says 'Brabantia' on the front .. I'd prefer it plain!

I am very pleased with my purchase. I looked at a lot of different designs and styles of letter boxes but choose this one as it was stylish, simple lines but still really modern looking. The colour is great against the new colour of my house and most importantly it is very practical and very easy to use.

The price point was also competitively priced against other brands and styles in the market place.

Brabantia is a trusted brand that I have purchased previously and most recently I ordered one of their bathroom bins in grey which I am very happy with.

Very happy with our post box

It was smaller than first thought. The wall fixation was too small..i had to modify with alternative purchase to increase confidence in removal.

Having replaced my front frame and door with a good quality hard wood (European Oak) I did not want to have a big hole just for a mail flap let alone the increased risk of cold air in the winter months so looked for a Post Box to go on the wall next to the door frame.

This area is protected from inclement weather by a canopy that runs the full length of the front of the (terraced) house so the box will is protected from rain etc.

Browsing through many different brands and styles we wanted one that would support being away for two weeks by having a depth for many letters and A4 content such as magazines and selected this specific model over the others int eh Brabantia range as it has a covered, top loading slot with a double hinge door.and a hooked lock that if necessary, can be replaced easily from many sources.

After a recent overseas trip for 14 days it was fairly full but still had space for another week or so.

If there is one minor concern it is possible to extract one or more A4 mailings out via the top flap but as it is in full view of the road I take this as very low risk as after all any courier mailings would be handed directly to the home owner or a neighbour.

It could be made of thicker steel but it should be good enough for the task even more so as it is under cover but even if in the open should give ten or more years service as the box is powder coated.

Fitting was fairly straight forward following the instructions, even using the supplied screws (and offset mount washers and this took some care to prevent washer falling of the screw - bit of tape) but did use my own wall plugs and here the only issue was inserting and tightening the lower mount screws as the lower frame gets in the way of using a power screw driver with a torx bit so had to revert to the old fashioned method by using the supplied tool - just took a bit of time to tighten.

All in all, very happy with the purchase and I would recommend this product as a wall mounted unit.

Great, brilliant seller, perfect colour, tried lots and returned them as I wanted anthracite /grey and they kept arriving black k, but this one is spot on, little more expensive but worth it.

Well built postbox with a good finish. Colour matches my new front door well. A little early to tell how well it will function when the weather turns bad.

This box is well designed and built. The top lid lifts up to reveal a slot through which A4 envelopes can go. It's not obvious that you need to lift the top to access the slot but provided the postman is inquisitive it will only take a moment before it becomes clear. Inside there is lots of room for the post and to date, after 3 months of use on an outside wall, not water has entered the box. The post can get slightly damp due to the moisture in the air but once picked up and inside its soon back to normal.

Fitting with the template works well, as does the lock.

Overall it fits easily, looks good and works well.

This post box was a replacement for one I had outside a villa in the north of Spain. weather there can be very inclement so the mail needed to be kept dry, sometimes for a considerable period. This box was easy to fit, being spaced out from the wall was particulary useful, further it passed the weather test with flying colours. Hoipefully the finish will last as well as I have come to expect from other Brabantia products.

The letter box we ordered is simple and stylish. It was easy to place and order and arrived very quickly afterwards. We were able to mount it on the wall easily and it has been very easy to use so far. Overall I would say it was pretty good value for money although we've only had it for a couple of months so I can't comment fully on how robust it will be in the long term. So far I have no cause for concern though. I have only made this single purchase from safe.co.uk but would certainly recommend them based on the one experience I have had and I would use them again in the future.

This was just what I needed as I have a porch letterbox open to view and also the postman does not like to use that because of a loud barking dog. The letters do get damp if not removed promptly

Excellent post box, really good build quality and the anodised finish is second to none. Easy to fasten to house, the rear of the cardboard packaging doubles up as a template so you can drill the holes in your wall to perfection. Anti tamper torx screws supplied along with two keys. Brilliant quality of product looks like it will last a while. Keep it waxed and lock lubed it shouldn’t go wrong. Would be nice to have an extra sprung sercurity flap inside to stop any skinny hands but still a great product

There is one drill hole in the centre of the back; after heavy windy rain I got a few drops of water in the box, otherwise I'm thoroughly pleased with the quality of the letterbox.

I looked long and hard for a product that I thought would do the job and when I found this it seemed perfect. I have been using it as a postbox most days for the last few months with no problems. The post is always dry and the slot is large enough for magazines and large letters but people are unable to get their hand through to tamper with your mail. The lock mechanism is standing up to almost daily use without any problems. I can not recommend this postbox enough as it is doing a wonderful job. I am very pleased with my much considered choice.

I bought this post box after initially buying a cheaper one off eBay which turned out to be flimsy and not fit for purpose. You can certainly see the difference in quality between the Decayeux D110 Post Box and cheaper models. The colour is great and matches our anthracite grey windows and doors perfectly. It feels solid, looks good quality and so far has withstood some pretty terrible rain over the winter months. If you want a post box that is long lasting, I would definitely recommend this one over the cheaper models. You get what you pay for! Also, I have very small hands and I can't get my hands in the top to pull the mail out so I'd say your mail is pretty secure in here.

We've used these post boxes for 10 years now and they are still going strong, so have continued to buy the same ones for our new offices.

Really pleased with this post box, it has the capacity for magazines, books and A4 envelope sized post.

I purchased this because I live in a remote rural area, which had been targeted by identity thieves stealing from low security mail boxes. It is discrete and secure, though of course nothing will deter determined criminals! I have not had it long enough to know if it will withstand our wild Pennine winters. It is perfectly adequate in size for domestic or small business use and the postman likes it too as he can reach over the top of my wall and lift the lid without having to come through the gate to deliver. All in all does the job very well!

When I moved to my new house in March of this year, I had a small damp post box on the wall. I decided to buy a new one as my locked porch doors do not support a letter box. The previous reviews for this one were good. It is big enough to take small parcels and my weekly magazines all at once. So far it appears to have stayed weather proof. I will now wait for the bad weather in the winter to see if it continues to remain weatherproof. My style conscious son liked the look of it !

Had to replace old front door and replacement was without a letter box opening. Researched and decided on this Brabantia Dark Grey Post Box. So glad we did - the post box sits well with our new contemporary look. The dimensions of the box are just right. The storage capacity is good parcels around the A4 size fit with some ease, and newspapers also seem to fit OK.. The lock seems sturdy and easy to use instead of fumbling with lids. Brabantia are a good brand and their products are always good quality so paid the little extra over other similar products. The box is very good in terms of build quality and was very easy to fit to the front wall of the house. It is also completely waterproof and all post yet retrieved has remained dry. In fact it's very hard to find any fault with this product. Would recommend

I thought this was a really nice product. Best thing about it was that all parts were supplied, allowing it to be mounted on an uneven surface without a trip to B & Q. The finish looks and feels good, with a nice matt colour. If I had a downside, it would be that the key doesn't always fit nicely into the lock. The storage space could be just a fraction larger to allow some slightly larger small parcels to go in through the letterslot. But overall really pleased. It arrived promptly as well which is always a bonus. Instructions for installation were clear.

I am very pleased with this post box, it was the first one we had needed following a new door on the porch and I was concerned as the ones I had seen in the DIY stores were of poor quality and didn't look like they would last long.I was a bit concerned about ordering one without seeing it first but reassured by the good reviews and the Brabantia name as other products from them have been good. The outside finish is good and the post is well protected even after very heavy rain there was no sign of any water getting inside the box.

The product arrived in a timely manner and was the correct product colour - a lovely matte grey colour. It matches very well with the country green wooden door of my cottage and actually emphasizes it. It was very simple to assemble and is sturdy on the wall. The post box has stood up to all weather so far and it is easy to operate with the key. I am very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality post box. The postman has commented on how easy it is to use and wishes more people would install them.

When we got our new front door we couldn’t fit a letterbox so got this. Was really unsure about a box but this is ideal and second nature now to check for the post. Was easy to install and is very sturdy. Post is kept dry and safe. Had the odd day when there’s been a lot of post and it can handle quite a bit including books from Amazon. Opening is good and there’s very little chance if any of people getting post out the top. Once on the wall at a reasonable height it would be very difficult to fish items out. Our postie loves it as many doors have low letterboxes which aren’t good for the back! Item came promptly and well packaged and would recommend Safe to anyone!

Product Sturdy and well built. Have put it just inside a porch ( an open one) so It’s not in direct weather or gets no direct rain snow etc so unable to comment on the weather proof element but seems good so far. One letter appeared soggy but not sure if this was due to pre posting snow and rain being held by the post man. its is a nice grey colour which fits in with my front door colour. It comes with only two keys which I actually could have done with three but decided to keep me one my key ring and one indoors.

The product was easy to order with friendly staff. Post box arrived quickly and is good quality. Easy to fix on to gate and good storage and weather proof.

No more soggy bottoms! After years of post turned to papier mâché and illegible missives from thank you letters to invoices, what a relief to have a weatherproof mail box that also accommodates A4 letters and documents. Looks smart too, for someone who is not a fan of ye old English posthorn curlicues or US ranchstyle mail box with indicator arm. As a handywoman, fixing to a chunky Cotswold stone wall was not too challenging - despite written instruction not matching the actual configuration of screw holes - and the template incorporated in the packaging was very helpful. Decided to invest in it after doing a lot of research. A happy customer.

Good quality smart product in anthracite grey. Fixing to uneven brickwork is challenging though as the fixings require a flat surface and there is no way to adjust.

Looks water resistant, however as ours is fixed on a wall under a porch it does not get wet. Good for about two weeks average mail and will handle the odd small parcel or two.

I really cannot fault this postbox. It is very well made of good quality materials. It is sturdy, easy to put up and very secure and it looks good too. The capacity is not huge but most important of all it takes A4 sized envelopes and small packages. The dark grey is a very classy colour and looks great on our brickwork. We have recently moved house and hence bought a new post box having had our last one for well over ten years, and the design and build haven't changed a bit. You can't improve on perfection! I recommend this postbox.

Have searched for a decent external postbox and in the colour we wanted this seemed to fit the bill.

Arrived safe and quickly and easy to install as the box is used as a drilling template to attach to the wall. Good capacity, can hold a decent amount of letters and small parcels.

Bought this product as we had a new door installed with no letterbox. This product looks really stylish on the wall. Bought the magazine holder to go under it as well to finish off the look! Was really easy to install on the wall. Really easy access to get your mail (complete front opener). Also loads of room for post - even including magazines (post man not so sure about magazine holder I don't think!) Good top delivery slot for post man. Really secure as well. Basically, looks great, easy to install, secure, holds lots of post, easy to get to post and great value for money as well. Great product!

The instructions on fixing the box were good and installation was straightforward.

We recently had a new front door, a stable door, so of course it had no letter slot. We chose Brabantia, as we have always chosen Brabantia...ironing board, washing whirleygig, waste bins....we are delighted with the post box, and so are our Postmen.

I like the simplicity of the design. I didn't want a fussy twee structure like the bird box designs.

I wanted a graphite grey paint which matches our gate, garage and fascias, it does.

I chose a medium size and it is just right for our needs. It holds the Sunday newspaper with all its supplements without the contents getting wet.

It is easy to open with the key supplied, yet when it is locked it is impossible for someone to reach inside to get at the contents.

All in all I am pleased with this purchase, & would recommend it to others.

Perfect if you want to ensure all large (A4) envelopes can be delivered. It was easy to install and think this will stand the test of time, very robust etc. We did decide to place it on the side of the property as it the size was a bit too big and ugly to place at the front of the house.

Does what it says it does, no problems at all

It is very substantial and robust. Its appearance looks very classy. It can fit most mail such as newspapers,magazines, and large A4 letters. I bought it for its sylish looks and all weather properties. I did not fit it myself. I asked a handiman to do it. He thought it was quite easy. It is fixed at eye level on my outside front wall of my house. It is completely weather proof. It has an opening top flap which slopes downwards to drain the rain away. There are rubber disks under the flap to prevent the lid banning shut. It sits about 1 cm away for on the house wall to prevent rain water pooling at the back. I am very pleased with the purchase and think it is very good value for money.

Ordered this mail box after looking at quite a few on auction sites and Amazon. Plenty were cheaper, but that was not my motivation with this purchase. The Branantia name is synonymous with quality so I f lt confident in purchasing this and bolting it in open view on the from wall of my home in plain sight. What I didn't want to do is buy a cheap shabbily painted one and regret the purchase every time I came home and looked at it. Overall, it was well packaged to protect it from damage in transit and when hung on the wall exudes quality.

Really pleased with our snazzy postbox! It is smart, neat, easily big enough for A4 letters and small packets without looking intrusive. The post man also loves it - he said some are too small and flimsy but this is perfect size and sturdy. I also like the matt finish and soft close lid. Definitely recommend it!

Bought this as we no longer have a letter box on our new door. Also purchased the newspaper and magazine holder with this. The post box is well made and sturdy. It is of good size and accepts A4 envelopes and small parcels easily. It has some small rubber grippers on either side for the lid which holds the lid down and stops the wind from opening it.

Comes well packaged and good instructions for installation. The box also doubles as a template for aligning and drilling the screw holes. Installation is straight forward and simple and all screws are supplied.

Overall looks fantastic and well designed, hoping to get many years use out of it.

The product is very high quality, durable and with good capacity. It comes with a guide template to use when drilling the holes to fit the letterbox to the wall. It's stylish design, whilst contemporary, doesn't look out of place affixed to our traditional cottage exterior. The colour is a modern dark grey, which blends in well with our stone exterior. It has kept post dry from weather in quite an exposed position on the side of our house. I would highly recommend this excellent product and the first class service and delivery when buying this from safe.co.uk.

Strange to get excited about a postbox but this is such an upgrade on the previous receptacle. It is exactly what we wanted - smart, stylish and practical. The dark grey contrasts nicely with the paler grey front door. It was easy to attach to the wall and feels sturdy and secure. There is plenty of room and a wide opening for the post at the top. The lock is smooth to open and good quality. The overhang of the the lid is just right and the post remained dry despite a torrential downpour the other day. We cannot fault it and are delighted with our purchase.

The appearance of this post box is very good, looking professional outside of the office. We are more than happy with both the build quality and the finish. The Fixing to the wall was relatively easy and it remains secure after the few months it has been in place. Up to now, all parcels and mail left in the postbox has been completely dry.

The only small negative for us was that we needed three keys but unfortunately it only comes with two.

We would be happy to buy any products made by Brabantia if they are of the same standard and considered good value for money.

This post box seems to be made to a decent standard, it was easy to fix to wall and came with all fixings including a torx key for the security screws. I chose this one because of the depth, so my morning paper would go inside with the lid down to protect it from getting wet. Can't comment yet on the weather resistance as it has only been up a few months and it has some protection from the rain etc under the porch. This type of box with a top flap stops larger envelopes and packages from getting bent and damaged.

The Brabantia letter box is excellent for us. We have a 'sealed box' house, so no draughty letter box in the door. The Brabantia looks smart in our front porch and the overlapping lid stands up well to the Cumbrian weather. Nothing in it gets wet, neither do we. The slim profile means it is minimally visible from the road, and the quality dark grey paint matches our modern anthracite door and window frames. The lock is fine. We have had none of the sticking issues mentioned elsewhere. The mail is safe, since the slot is wide enough for even A4 envelopes but you could not get your hand in.

It is worth paying the little bit more and getting this post box. It does not leak as my previous one did. It is well constructed and comes with all the correct fixtures and fittings. The slot is under the lid and has a seal to protect against rain.

Overall i am very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

The box is a good size, is secure and looks smart. I would prefer the door to be hinged at the bottom so if you are standing to the right of it you dont have to reach around the open door and try to catch post before it falls out.

The thick rubber washers attach it snugly to an uneven surface and there are no rattles from use or a windy day.

The supplied alan key was a poor fit for the screws, and having to use a screwdriver instead was tricky inside the box.

Plenty of driving rain since I got this and no water inside.

We are very pleased with the Brabantia B110 Dark Grey post box purchases, it is very well made and seems very secure. It fits a well packed A4 letter easily and keeps the post secure and dry.

The erected box has been in daily use for a few months in an exposed and fairly sensitive area and has not caused any issues or been affected by weather. The lid could maybe benefit from being slightly heavier as it seems to be at risk from lifting under strong winds but this has not happened. Additionally the good sized aperture for posting large letters/parcels is a benefit but that also means that some larger articles could be extracted via the lid by small hands. This risk is overcome by prompt clearing of the mail. Overall the box is proving to be a good buy and looking to last a long time.

I chose this after reading other reviews on this website and because Brabantia is a name I know and trust. Needed a mailbox to go outdoors while house a building site! It had to go in a very exposed spot, hillside, oncoming very strong rain. So far it hasn't let us down - post dry even when in there several days. Just one little key - an extra would be nice! A very quiet dark grey, matt finish. Very pleased with it.

Brabantia has a reputation for supplying high quality products and whilst the price was a little on the high side this was counteracted with the quality. Fitting was simple although I would recommend more fixing holes or alternatively the holes positioned closer to the centre. This would allow better access for a screwdriver when screwing the box in position. The capacity of the post box cannot be faulted and a wide range of post sizes can be accommodated, several days of post can be safely stored. Access for the postman is easy and secure from the top, and post can be removed easily via a lockable front door. The finish is excellent and durable for long term use.

The post box was simple to fit. It has an appropriate capacity, taking local free newspapers in addition to a heavy day's mail. I t is very weather-proof. It opens & closes easily and does not drop the contents. We also find the appearance pleasing.

We do not expect to need another post box in the near future but would certainly recommend you to friends and consider buying other products from you.

It is at the moment too early (i.e., not enough time in use has elapsed since the date when I received the postbox, fitted it up in place of the old one and then made it ready for use) to tell whether the build quality is as good as its specification led me to believe. The capacity of the box seems rather less than expected but it takes most types and sizes of standard postal packet as well as reasonably flat items posted in a Jiffy bag. The postbox has proved to be rainproof and - though this is not for me an essential reason for its purchase - has an attractive appearance.

This is a high quality and very well made post box. I wanted a box that was plain and didn’t have any markings on it. This fits the bill perfectly. I’ve had this Decayeux D110 Post Box for a few months now. I know it was easy to install because I did it myself. My postman or postwoman has had no trouble putting plenty of A4, small packages and other post in the box unlike my previous box which was often left so stuffed that he or she couldn’t close the lid. The build quality is obviously good but ask me again in a few years time. So far it has endured plenty of heavy, driven rain and there has been no water ingress at all or any signs of corrosion. Given the build quality, I regard it as very good value for money. Highly recommended.

This post box is an excellent design! Very easy to open the door and remove post, my previous one opened top down and was fiddly to close as the lid needed to stay open. Capacity of this box is large and small parcels can easily fit. The quality to very good and feels strong. Contemporary colour looks great. Had the box for a few months and post stayed dry throughout the storms. We had a few questions regarding the branding and called the seller (Safe) who were extremely helpful and knowledgable about the product. After reading the online reviews, especially the one written by a postlady, I decided the Decayeux D110 was the best postbox I had seen online. I orderered it by 'phone (so much quicker!) and it arrived the next day.

It is sturdy and strong and there is a template for securing it to the wall. The instructions for mounting are pretty idiot proof. The box is on a south facing wall and gets a fair battering from the prevailing wind and rain but the post stays dry. It's roomy too.

This postbox looks so stylish next to my new grey front door.

Im really impressed with my new post box. It's sturdily built and a smart dark grey colour. We have had some really wet and windy weather recently and the box is on the front of the house which gets all the weather. No water has got inside, and all the mail kept dry. It has a good sized slot and can take A4 sized mail/books etc. The gap isn't so wide that you could put your hand into, to steal mail which is good. The box is easy to install with 4 screws and washers. There is also a template on the back of the packaging which was a helpful touch. All in all, great looking box and would happily recommend.

The D110 postbox was exactly the right colour as described and perfectly matched the anthracite colour of my recently installed composite front door and the whole ensemble looks very classy indeed.

The postbox as very well packaged and arrived very quickly and in perfect condition - such a relief.

Installation of the postbox was very straightforward and anyone with only basic DIY skills could install it without difficulty as the box contained a cardboard template to ensure screw holes are drilled in exactly the right place.

The fixtures no kit was very good with everything you need to achieve a professional result.

I was particularly impressed with the rubber mounting pieces which ensure the postbox is slightly raised from the wall which helps to ensure the lid opens freely and ensures no rainwater can enter the box from the wall.

The lid which covers the aperture for post fits very precisely ensuring rainwater cannot run into the box from the atmosphere even when driven by the wind.

All in all a well designed and manufactured box with a classy appearance at a reasonable price

Fitted a new front door without letter flap so needed a mail box that could take a reasonable amount of mail for the family. Had a good look at the market before opting for the Brabantia model. With very limited DIY ability I had the box on the wall quickly and without swearing once. Has been in use without issue for the last few months. Scottish weather has been kept out from the mail via a great top flap and the lock is sturdy for peace of mind. Design looks contemporary and fits perfectly with the look of the house. Am very happy with the purchase!

Well made, sturdy post box with good quality fittings. The lid ensures that no post gets wet. It is the perfect size for large envelopes and small packages. The opening to put the post in is just right - not too small making it very easy for our postman and not large enough for hands and wrists to be able to access post. It looks really good next to our front door and we definitely prefer not having the post come through the door. It's a treat everyday opening the postbox to see what's inside!!

We bought this to save the post being ripped to shreds by our puppy! Great product, easy to hang and everything works perfectly. The postman immediately started using it, and it's only the odd leaflet or charity bag that comes through the letterbox now (to the delight of the dog!). Most post seems to fit, even books and magazines in outsized cardboard wraps, although I would say that if you receive a lot of larger packages it might not have the capacity to cope. It's great for normal domestic use. Don't do what I did though - too lazy to pick up the keys, I stuck my hand down to fish out a letter and it really hurt getting it out again!!

We bought three of these for our newly refurbished office buildings. They match the RAL window colour pretty well and look nice in situ. The tenants are happy and we would certainly buy them again for other developments as long as they last well. It has only been a couple of months so far!

Excellent product I Decided to buy this model as my neighbour has had hers for many years and never had any problems with it and it still looks as good as new , I have had several different makes in this time and had to replace them due to rust and water infiltration . This is a good size for larger letters and small packets even the postman has passed comment on how much easier it has made his job with easy access for posting the mail. I Would definitely recommend this post box to family and friends.

This is a good-looking, well-made and well-designed post box. Easy to fit, too, with the included mounting template.

My only niggle is that you can't rehang the door so that the hinge is on the other side, but overall I'm very happy.

The product is just what we wanted and it was very easy to install. It looks good, the quality is good and is big enough to hold all our mail. This includes the weekly, free newspaper. Recently a small parcel was left in the post box. We live in a town where it rains almost every day, sometimes heavily. Our mail is always dry. The post box is secured by a key lock and there is a top loading A4 letter slot. We needed this post box because our new front door does not have one. I definitely recommend this product.

This is an excellent post box, replacing an existing white one that my wife had decided was the wrong colour. The grey finish is excellent and the box is very strong.The white one was there when we moved in 10 years ago and was still fine, other than the colour! If anything, the new one seems to be more sturdily built than the original, so I am expecting to get many years useage from it.

Delivery was very quick and the box was very well packaged. Having researched various suppliers on line, this was at a very good price.

I did quite a bit of research prior to purchasing this post box. We wanted something contemporary and stylish as well as practical. Quality was more important than price, as I think you get what you pay for in most cases. This post box ticked all my boxes.

It has an opening at the top allowing items to be posted without bending them. The slot is wide enough for packets and bulky magazines. The lid over the top keeps everything dry. There are little rubber dampers to stop the lid rattling. It came supplied with all the fittings and was easy to fit with rubber washers so it sits just proud of the wall, preventing water ingress.

I saw that this post box had a very positive review and was recommended by a postal worker who sees lots if post boxes! We’ve had the box a few months now with no issues and would recommend it.

It is well built and resists rainwater, but we found it to be too small. Even quite small packages fill it up, and if one does not empty it every day it soon runs out of space so could not be relied on when going on holiday. We had to replace it with a larger post box after only a few weeks of use. Pity!

So pleased I invested in a wall mounted letter box, so much easier than retrieving mail from the floor!

This Post box is a considerable improvement on my old one. Because the opening is at the top it is easier for the postman to use as large A4 magazines etc can easily be posted into the box. No mail has yet got wet so it appears to be weatherproof.

The only downside which is not immediately obvious is when it came to be fitted initially the hinges at the rear of the box scraped against the wall which would have led to the paint coming off and possible damage to the box. To overcome this a wooden batten was fixed behind th box to raise it away from the wall. Apart from that I am really pleased with the postbox.

We purchased the brabantia post box in grey. It is a great colour, we chose grey cos it goes great against the colour of stone on our house.It was easy to put up it came with all the relevant bits and pieces you need. And its easy to use the front opens up so you can easily get your mail out, it also comes with more than one key There is plenty of space in side and it feels very strong and sturdy. It is worth paying that little bit more for a better quality product I would highly recommend it .

Excellent improvement to our standard door letterbox. Build quality is very good, as expected from Brabantia. Holds a decent amount of mail.

My only disappointment with this unit was the rubber mounts that fit between wall and postbox, they are not thick enough. The first time I opened the lid of the postbox it rubbed against the brickwork and scratched the lid. I added additional rubber spacers to prevent recurrence. Other than that am very pleased with unit and would recommend.

Box is easy to use with lift up lid to view if mail or flyers posted in it. The build quality is sturdy and with thoughtful features that make operation of door and lid quiet. Storage capacity is good easily takes A4 sized documents and catalogues. Weather resistance is good we have not experienced any water ingress that we have experienced with other boxes. This made the choice we made very good value in our opinion.

The box is supplied with all screws and fixings. The template made easy work of placing marks on wall where drilling as required. Only minus point

is in the bottom holes, these are placed low making access to the screws with the allen key provided difficult to access and tighten.

I bought this product to replace an existing post box, of different brand, which had allowed mail to get wet, and which finally began to rust. I found the Brabantia box easy to install. It is well finished and sufficiently robust. It has been in use now for several months and the mail always stays dry.

The product was very well packed, efficiently dispatched and delivered. Instructions for installation were clear and easy to follow, and necessary tools and fixings were included. My box is fixed to brickwork and took about half an hour to instal including re-drilling for fixings. So, Excellent all round.

Its smashing. Easter eggs had to melt before they fitted through the slot! No seriously, its a huge improvement on the old one.

The Brabantia post box looks stylish and is well made. We live in a rural area in an exposed place and with the position the post box is in, it does get the rain blown staright at it. i don't think the post box leaks but we have to be very careful when opening it that rain water doesn't drip on to the letters. Apart from that, we are very pleased with it and the colour of it is a great background for the white lettering I have put on with our house name, so it serves two purposes!

This product is ideal for purpose and ease of use.

As you would expect with a brabantia product, the build is of excellent quality. My favourite feature is the top (rather than front) slot, which means the larger post doesn’t get bent/ripped when the postperson drops it in.

The installation was pretty straightforward, as the box doubles as a drill guide. The only slight complication for me was drilling into pebbledash, which was tricky to get in the right location.

I did have pause for thought when buying this letterbox as it was quite a lot of money compared to other products, but it’s clear this one is built to last and looks great on the front of our home.

Fabulous post box & looks stylish. Our post has to press kept dry, no water has entered the box at all, the lid stays firmly down and the post slot is angled and unlike others as it is a deep drop you cannot retrieve the post any way other than using the key keeping post safe.

I have bought cheaper post boxes previously however they have not protected my post like this one. In the past my old one leaked water soaking the post so I was unable to read it.

I highly recommend spending a little more and getting this one you will certainly benefit a whole lot more ....

I have been looking for some time for a stylish and well built post box which will stand up to the changeable British weather so I was delighted when I saw your range of products. It is up to the usual high standard of Brabantia and is just what I wanted. The steel grey finish also matches my new slate grey windows which is an added bonus.i have just had my house repainted and the post box looks splendid on my front wall. I would thoroughly recommend this product. I have used Brabantia products for many years and they never fail to produce really good merchandise.

Very pleased with the product and in the way it was despatched and delivered.the colour was a perfect match to what was shown on the website. Which coincides with the colour of my new front door. It looks very smart. My post lady prefers the box to my last one as it has no sharp edges, is wider and can A4 without ot being folded in half and the capacity is much greater which means she does not have to knock to collect larger items.

I am very happy with my new postbox, it looks great and it is very practical, protecting from post from the weather and being very secure. It is a quality piece of kit, which is what I expected from Brabantia - I chose the postbox specifically because to me it is a trusted brand. It was easy to fix to the wall of our house with the fixings that were supplied with the postbox. Because of the quality of the postbox I expect it will last us for many years to come, and because of this it represents brilliant value for money for me. I do now need to develop a new habit of checking the post however! We had a new front door, without a letter box, so having an external postbox is a change for us, and we do forget to check it every day!

Only had the item a few months, so cannot give 5 stars for build and reliability. But overall excellent box and looks brilliant against the new front door.

Good product. The only criticism received from people who post into it is that the word " lift" should be imprinted on the lid. Some people can't seem to understand how it should work and try posting items into the front recessed panel not realising that it is a top entry posting slot !!

We were concerned that a Post Box on the side of our porch would not be large enough for all the post we get, which is usually includes a lot of junk mail or local brochures.

We bought our Brabantia B110 post box after being recommended by a friend and have been absolutely delighted with it.

It takes a lot more mail than we thought it would and looks absolutely great. The postman is happy too as he does not have to bend down to post our mail through the letter box and face the dog snatching it out of his fingers! Winners all round.

Smart, neat and sits well on outside wall. Big enough to take lots of letters and regular magazine deliveries but not overbearing. Easy to use and access.

Great product, easy to install and user friendly. Much better than the plastic box we previously had on the ground for the postman to drop items into! Seems to be very secure too though paranoid about loosing the keys.

It resolved a problem for us of some long standing. The postbox built into the wall let in vast quantities of water when the rain was off the south west. And it resolved the problem of lazy people who couldn't see the old letter box. It is strong and sturdy and definitely visual! And although we live in a relatively safe area, its structure should deter anyone wanting to gain access. It just copes with the amount of post we get and that is my fault for not buying bigger. Maybe I might have liked a different colour had one been available. Price? Slightly on the pricey side I felt, but you get what you pay for, and I have no doubt it will prove value for money in the long term.

We replaced the old Brabantia postbox with another from the range. The old one was very rusty and had probably been up for years. Sadly the new one is disappointing in that the rain gets in.

Was very pleased with the speed of delivery and equally delighted with the product itself. The quality is far better than I expected: sturdy, well made and well finished. The mail box is solidly built and reasonably easy to mount on the wall. The 'Postie' doesn't seem to have any problems with the deliveries.

One tip that I would offer is that before you mount the box on the wall coat the back of it with a good quality car wax, and do the same to the remainder once mounted, repeating every few months.

This is a good product which was exactly what I wanted. Access is easy although large items can be removed without unlocking the box. The build is quite sturdy but I have issues with the method of fixing which I do not think is entirely secure. The box is attached to the wall using spacers to enable the lid to be opened. The use of spacers means that there is a space behind the box which would enable someone to prise the box from the wall with a crow bar if they so wished. This seems to me a fundamental design flaw which should be corrected to make the product more secure.

This is a great post box. I actually waited a while to write this review, to make sure the box was waterproof and hard wearing. It's both of these things. Great box. Sturdy, waterproof, perfect size, looks really nice and good value for money. Thumbs up from me!

Great product. Does just what it says on the box.

Arrived promptly. Good solid construction, nothing flimsy. Colour and style as described. Safe as Unable to access mail through the slot without using the key. We have modified how it is intended to be attached, as we wanted it on a pole rather than attached to a wall. As a result, there are 2 holes at the back of the mailbox that are now somewhat open to the elements, resulting in some water entering the mailbox interior if wet and rainy (typical English weather!). We have plugged the holes with grey silicone which has helped but not entirely stopped water getting in. Shame as it’s a good product, and not everyone wants to attach the mailbox where all the holes are fully used/ covered.

We bought a Daycayeux D110 Post Box after researching post boxes on line and we are delighted with it.

It was delivered promptly and we fixed it to a post at the entrance to our new property which is under construction. We are confident it is secure the lockable door opens easily with the keys provided. It is exposed to the weather where it is but shows no signs of deterioration. It easily holds all our post we get delivered. Like any purchase you get what you pay for, and I have seen the results of buying a cheaper box and they look shabby very quickly. The quality and build of this box is excellent and I am looking forward to repositioning it at the front door of our new home!

The Decayeux D110 post box I bought from Safe has totally lived up to the description and the recommendations given as I ordered it. We have an extremely happy post person who finds it very easy to use. It is capacious and easily holds magazines, letters and medium size parcels. The postbox looks good, and the grey colour compliments our newly decorated house. It is very easy to access and to empty. Currently I have no negative criticisms and would highly recommend the D110 as an idea post box for any home.

I am so pleased I decided to pay a little more for a good quality mailbox. Not only does it look good, but it's functional, stylish and definitely feels like it will be good for many years. The design is one that I do not expect to age over time, and will continue to look good. The slot is more than sufficient for your average A4 envelope, brochures, catalogues etc. There is plenty of room within the box itself to hold a good few days mail and this has been a total success with Royal Mail and other couriers from day one. 100% happy with this purchase.

I bought this to replace our previous mail box of a similar design which let in water. This one is great. Despite being in a very exposed location it hasn't let in a drop despite very wet, stormy weather. I would certainly recommend it.

A really good letterbox for mounting on walls. Our previous letterbox let in rain, meaning that the post got wet; however this one seems to have been watertight even in fairly torrential storm conditions. It easily takes A4 letters and magazines and they fall sufficiently deep that it would be difficult for them to be removed. We paid for the box to be fitted as we wanted to ensure that it looked good - this service was really professional. That said, you may be able to fit it yourself as the instructions looked straightforward and all parts were supplied. Delivery from safe.co.uk was fast and tracking worked well.

Great product, does the job and just what we wanted!

The Decayeux - D110 Post Box - Dark Grey has proved to be an excellent choice. It was easy to order and arrived well packed and in perfect condition. The fitting instructions were very clear and it was easy to install. It is easy to open and our postman really likes it. It is proving to be weather resistant which was a major consideration. Even in very windy conditions the lids remains tightly closed.The post box also looks very good. All dealings with this company have been excellent and would certainly recommend to friends and family for both ease of use and value for money.

This post box, and the post I also got to match, is absolutely perfect. It looks smart outside our house and allows the postman to deliver our mail without having to open the gates. He also loves the ease with which he can deliver even large letters and slim parcels. The mail never gets wet despite living on top of a high and very windy hill at times and the box is incredibly easy to unlock. Looks great, colour is lovely, strong and durable, cannot be broken into, great value for money,the postman loves it - so we would highly recommend it to absolutely anyone!

Great product. It’s very sturdy and completely weather proof. No more folded letters or wet letters since using this post box. Three months on and no sign of rusting so far. Highly recommended if you need a post box outdoors!

This is a brilliant product, very well made with an understated style. It accommodates larger envelopes (including courier document envelopes) which was essential for my business. Easy to install and certainly keeps the weather out, I have it mounted at the side of the house which is a wind tunnel and receives the worst of the weather my mail is always dry! I was worried about it rattling due to the wind but it has a soft close lid, solid panels and a snug lockable door so doesn't make a sound! Also a great price from this supplier - No complaints and very happy with this product!

Our postman told us that the best mailbox from a postie's point of view was a Brabantia and these are what Brabantia sold, just under their own name. Fitting is easy, with the measurements marked out on the box so drilling the holes in the right place can be done without measuring - just get it straight! This is weatherproof - it's had horizontal rain hitting it and not leaked. We also got the matching newspaper holder which has also been great - given the size of weekend papers these days I was concerned it would not fit, but that's not a problem. The post box can take fat envelopes or small parcels and is very secure. 100% recommended.

We recently moved to a new build bungalow with a very smart, modern front door. Unfortunately it suffers from a posh but useless letterbox at the lowest point and with a heavy metal flap drawbridge behind the difficult to negotiate brush portcullis. The postman hated it and the paperboy just couldn't use it. Having thoroughly researched available wall mounted alternatives, I chose the Decayeux D110 in dark grey with matching N100 newspaper holder from Safe.co.uk. It arrived promptly and was a breeze to install with the aid of a spirit level, pencil, ruler and drill. I read in the reviews that the screws provided were a bit short but I used them anyway. I have since replaced them with ones 5mm longer as screwing the originals in hard to get a firm fixing to the wall brought the lid close enough to scrape the brickwork. The postman is ecstatic and wants me to get the rest of the development to buy some. The paperboy took some weeks to a) recognise the tube as being for newspapers, though it says it on it, and b) achieve the manual dexterity to roll up the Saturday Telegraph small enough to enter the tube. He and it just manage. Rain has not been a problem as I put it on the side of the door with the hole in the lee of the wind.

I keep the keys hanging on the inside door handle and enjoy popping out to check for post, can be done by looking in the top flap, and sliding out the newspaper.

This is an excellent product and is exactly what we needed as our new home has a fully glazed front door with no space for a traditional letterbox. The post box was delivered very promptly and was easy to install. It is well-made and accommodates everything with the exception of large parcels, as one would expect. So far (3 winter months including Storm Ciara) the post box has proved totally weatherproof. Above all it looks good! When we mislaid one of the keys the advice received from Safe Customer Services was provided promptly and was very helpful. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Decayeux D110 and Safe to anyone looking for a wall-mounted post box.

5 star rating from me. It’s just what we were looking for after getting a new door without a letterbox. Really easy to put up on the wall. The quality of the product seems really good. The box has a rubber bit so when post is delivered it doesn’t slam. We don’t have a lot of post but seems to hold a fair amount of post. Free newspapers fit in to. Also small packages fit in as well.

Excellent product and easy to install

First class post box - it was delivered quickly, was easy to fix to the wall and looks to be sturdy and well built. It will accept any size envelope or packet up to A4 size, and the letter slot being on the top means no more bent envelopes! The dark grey box looks good, the top flap works well and has kept the rain out so far, and it’s easy to unlock and empty. Overall I’m very impressed with this post box and would thoroughly recommend it.

Product does everything I expected. Having looked at various products it became apparent that many other makes did not last long and did not keep the weather paying a bit more appears to have worked as, so far, despite spells of exceptional wind and rain, mail has remained dry. Also product was straight forward to install with the aid of the template on the box.

The Decayeux D110 Dark Grey - Top Loading 18Ltr Medium Post Box is perfect. It stylish, well made and easy to use. It has stopped our dog going crazy every time the postman comes. The lift up flap has buffer pads so there is no noise when the mail is being deposited so our dog is much calmer. Highly recommend SAFE too for easy to use website and prompt efficient delivery.

It was an easy to understand website. The processs to order was seamless. Great products with explanations. The fast delivery was a bonus. It arrived well packaged. Very easy to put up on an exterior wall. We have had strong winds and heavy rain and it has stayed up and stayed dry.

A challenge to fit as wall mounting washers behind unit but robust, secure and perfect for our needs. Modest size and discreet colour on practical yet elegant design. In most cases, post input with one hand movement through more than adequate slot. Unlocking, opening then closing and relocking is similarly easy. A snip in our view.

My postman recommended this postbox to me and having had it for a few months, definitely think it was a good purchase. The colour was darker than I expected but it’s quite roomy and can hold small packages as well as letters. It looks nice and sleek on the wall. Would recommend.

I researched for a long time as wanted a postbox that would last. Pleased with delivery and the colour dark grey is just what I wanted. It has been up a couple of months and so far I am very pleased. It hasn’t let in any water despite some very heavy downpours. Keys work well, easy to open and holds a lot of post. It is more than I had wanted to spend but definitely worth it.

Easy to put up and does hold a lot of post however, everything gets wet and water collects in the bottom of the box it is not weather tight at all. I have a rendered cottage which we have drilled into now so am loathed to take it down and purchase something more weather tight as I will be left with patchy holes

This is a great postbox. It was very easy to install. The postbox has a large capacity that holds A4 letters. This box is extremely simple to use and it looks really attractive on the outside of the house. I like the fact that my post is kept secure and I can access it with a key. am very happy with my purchase.

We bought this post box because our new front door didn't allow for a letterbox. I wasn't sure I would like having an outside post box but it's brilliant. It fits an A4 sized envelope with ease and was super easy to fit. It's slim enough to not standout too far and for us it sitting on a wall at a right angle to the front door. It's really easy to check if you have mail, I've got into the habit of lifting the lid and seeing if there's anything there before I grab the key and open the door (lazy!). I've noticed the postman likes the box too, he lifts the lid with the back of his hand and pops the post in, in seconds and is gone! I can't say much about weather resistance as ours is under a porch roof but it looks like it would be fine as the lid covers the whole of the top so I can't see how water would get into the box even in really bad weather conditions. I would totally recommend this box.

perfect outside post box. Very pleased to have purchased this post box. Did a lot of research and found this was the best for me. Lightweight with large postal slot. Easy to secure on my brick wall. The package box has a template on the back which was a extreme help in placing the screws. Been up a while now and keeps the rain out and still smart looking. There are also drainage holes at the bottom in case of rain entering. All screws provided together with rubber washers to keep off the wall.

The safe is excellent. Easy to get into and easy for postman to put letters in. They liked the top opening, also quite secure and weatherproof.

Sturdy and easily mountable

My new Decayeux D110 post box has clean lines, looks modern and is easy to use. Fits well on the wall and easy to wipe down. The lid is well designed for peering in to check mail and the rain slides off. A good size to accommodate all of my mail. The colour of Dark Grey is very current with outdoor furnishings and blends well with all building materials. Safe post boxes are a 'safe buy.'

I did research and came to the conclusion that this was a well designed post box that took installation and operating into account. That has proven correct - the small stand off from the wall makes all the difference, no problem opening the lid back, and as per other reviews, the postmen find it really easy. Sometimes I feel a slight resistance for opening the lid but I can see the postman does not have an issue and there have been no "slamming back" of the lid from him. If only all household products were of such good quality and reliable.

Just what we need. It takes A4 stiff envelopes without a problem for the music I have delivered very easily and the opening is easy for all types of post. There is no need for the postman to struggle to deliver anything now, whereas he used to squash certificates into our letter box even when it stated 'Do Not Bend' on the item!!

The mail box is good! It does exactly what it is intended for. It is robust and well-finished.

It is easy to use by us by unlocking the front and the post people via the top flap. The lid cleverly covers a narrower slot so that delivered mail can be dropped through but it is then safe as the slot is too narrow to get your hand inside. It has decent capacity for most delivered mail but not parcels.

It was easy to install following the instructions and template provided.

It looks good on the front wall adjacent to the front door and matches our colour scheme.

I really love this product. It's very elegant with neat lines. The colour matches the slate paving and also my front door. The lock works well and all my mail is kept dry. There is plenty of space for mail even if I go away for a week or more.

This is a great post box. We’ve put it on our wooden garden gate where it faces the prevailing weather conditions with very strong winds and rain coming at it and it has taken it all in its stride. Occasionally after a storm some water comes in via the mounting screw holes but because the post inside leans away it still all stays dry and the seals around the door and lid are perfectly sealed and let zero water or snow in. Our Post Man admired it and as it is top loading with lots of cacapity it fits everything in. The lid is great as it doesn’t flap in the wind at all (soft pads keep it in place). I ordered several extra keys so now have one on everyone’s sets of keys so we can open it whichever of us goes by without having to find the key first.

Perfect for normal domestic use, easily fits A4 envelopes and jiffy bags, the postmen love it because it opens easily, fits everything and they don't have to bend down. My daughter's new house came with a much smaller box (half the size) which is only fit for the smallest letters, A5 max, so this one is much better and well worth the money. Supplied with a fitting template (on the box itself) and rubber buffers as well as the actual fittings. Feels really secure on the wall, and we no longer have the security issue of a letter box in the front door.
