Got this fitted, and at 9pm on the same day, the key got stuck in the lock. Had to call an emergency locksmith as it was 9pm in the evening, and he confirmed the lock was faulty and replaced it with a much better one from Brisant.
Ingersol have not provided a full refund or compensation for the locksmith, citing that I should have called them to examine the lock. Essentially, their view is that I should have kept the broken lock all night with my door unlocked, accepted the security risk, called them the next day and waited for one of their specialists to attend at my house in London.
Absolutely bonkers attitude and a total lack of customer support from the manufacturer.
To be clear, this was not the vendor’s problem, but the manufacturer’s, and I would suggest that safe.co.uk take Ingersol’s products off their shelf.
