Pondered long and hard over the various options for a home fire safe. In the end the storage capacity and the digital media protection narrowed down the selection to this model. The decision to go key rather than digital keypad was based on my inherent distrust of electronic components compared to mechanical components on something as important as a safe.

Given the weight and the intention to have the safe located on the first floor I opted to pay to have the safe brought in - a good move and although it added to the delivery time the driver and mate were professional and efficient. Only time will tell as to the longevity of the product however our previous Phoenix safe, which this replaced as it was now too small, has lasted more than 15 years.

It totally does what I ordered it for. Looks good and feels strong. Very happy with my purchase.

It is a good size safe, the problem is that the keys don't look safe enough not to be copied, the outside hinges makes it easy to cut and break into it
