Good for those small items. Well built. To get a better score it would help to have appropriate plugs for the holes that you do not use (holes on base and rear to fixing)

The safe is just the job, needed something small and compact to hide at the back of a cupboard that only had limited space. The dimensions of this safe was nearly bang on its max space available. Key operation so no numbers to memorise and a handy little removable shelf. Would be handy if the option of hindge side was available. And a bit of double sided tape on the little bit of carpet like fabric in the bottom of the safe would be a great help when trying to untangle it from the loose shelf when unpacking.. well made and easy to use .

We wanted a small home safe that opened with a key. This British made safe is spot on. The key only fits one way round (4/5 stars for ease of use) we really wanted a fire resistant safe, but they are very expensive, so we opted to put our documents in a fire bag then put them inside the safe. I like a key entry safe as they are harder to hack into and don't have to worry about batteries. The storage inside was large enough for our documents, but it is a little hard to get them in and to lay flat on the bottom,due to the door and door surround, so we stand them at the back (4.5/5 star for storage capacity)The safe comes with two keys and fixing bolts (I suggest you use your own fixings )overall I'm very pleased .A safe is only as good as where you locate it, never fit it in a wardrobe, it's the first place burglar Bill looks.

This was exactly what I was looking for.

Size was perfect for the space I had to fit a safe into and is large enough to keep plenty of valuables in.

I chose this model with a key as no need to worry about codes or having any problems with electronics as you always seem to get problems when on holiday with hotel safes.

Build quality is excellent this coming from a steel fabricator and having looked at some at DIY stores and thought no way would I feel confident with my valuables in them.

Delivery was as specified and arrived in perfect condition.

Definetely worth the money and will keep mine safe.

Very good product for the price

Very happy with the safe, perfect size for storing A4 files, cash and valuables. Easy to install and secure, not too big.

2 keys supplied that are kept separated. The inside of the safe has a soft lining on the floor to prevent damage to any contents and can be secured to the floor or wall or both as it has holes in the base and the back. They even supply the bolts to enable you to do this. Ordering was very simple and great price too. Delivery was much faster than expected despite ordering at beginning of Covid-19 lock down.

Excellent product good value without the worry of a keypad. Very efficient delivery service.

The product is very good but wrong information given on fitting instructions.

The drill bit information given was 12mm which is too big for bolts supplied with the safe.

The correct drill bit is 10mm which I found out afterwards and had to start again.

Very dissapointed.

Excellent little safe does just what we need

I have an amount of gold and silver I wanted to secure. This is a great value safe. Easy to install, comes with fixing bolts and two keys. I put it out of sight and has great storage space. For the price this is an excellent buy. Website was easy to use and quick delivery.

Having had a digital safe for many years - the electronics gave up the ghost. Have now gone back to the trusty old key. The new safe is a good size inside allowing you to store a 60cm thick wad of documents whilst leaving plenty of room for lots of other stuff. It's handy being able to remove the interior shelf. The exterior dimensions are perfect allowing it to be fixed within a cupboard using the excellent fixing bolts supplied. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase!

My previous safe had a keypad and battery powered. This was the second keypad safe that I have purchased before. It had gone wrong several times, but this time the battery had gone flat and the override key also broke in the lock. Arghh!. I did some research on the internet on how to get into the safe. The only viable way in was to destroy the door to get to the lock mechanism. Enough of keypads and batteries, this time I would get one with a key. After much research on line I settled on the Pheonix Vela SS0802K. It arrived quickly and was fitted easily with the screws provided. Easy to use and with ample space for my needs. All I have to remember now is where did I put the key?.

When my mother and brother passed away mid last year I inherited some cash and some personal effects from both of them. As I live in a shared rented house with a fully lockable room, I still didn't feel completely happy about having these items just in a non lockable cupboard.

After asking the landlord if it would be okay to wall mount a safe in my room and getting the go ahead I decided to start searching the internet.

I found safe.co.uk and realised that their safes seemed quite good quality and reasonable priced, so I ordered the Pheonix Vela SS0802k as I wanted a basic safe but with only with a key locking option.

I was surprised how quickly it arrived to start with, then upon opening discovered it was just what I needed, ideal size, security level and key operation. I then asked a friend if he we come to mount it for me as he works for an alarm, locksmith, safe installation company. He too seemed quit impressed with my choice, but he stated the only downside was the fixing bolts as he didn't rate them adequate enough. Fortunately he had better securing bolts in his van and it was mounted both to a wall and floor.

I cannot find any criticism with the safe I purchased as it met all my needs at a good price, just the securing bolts needed to be a little more substantial and the plastic wallplugs were not that great either.

Personally, if you want a nice little compact safe that you can hide nicely in any room, do not hesitate as you cannot go wrong with this little beauty.

Very pleased with this safe. I particularly wanted one with a good quality key lock, not a combination, and this is just the job. Well made, delivered very quickly. I've installed it in my motorhome to give peace of mind when travelling, and bolt holes both in one side and one end made it very easy to install securely.
