Great value for money. Keypad really easy to set up and use. Spare great incase of electrical failure or dead batteries. Removable shelf is handy, would have been great if there was an option of different shelf heights. The holes at the bottom of the Safe is definitely plus being able to bolt it to the floor. The door is thick enough and only slight movement when shut.The gap between the door edge and door frame is very acceptable being only couple of mm thick which will make it difficult for a crow bar or something similar to fit between and force the door open.

I was looking for a safe place for moderately valuable family heirlooms and the Phoenix Vela fitted the bill perfectly. Great price and storage size that filled the gap between too small and too expensive. As I wanted quick access and don’t need any more keys on my key ring the electronic code is perfect. As a keen clay target shooter there is the bonus of being able to store over 500 cartridges in the lower section still with plenty of space for the Crown Jewels on the top shelf. If I had one slight niggle it’s the plastic turn handle but if you are looking for a decent safe don’t let that put you off.

This is a great general purpose safe. It is well built with a dividing shelf and large capacity. An interior light on the door is useful and remains on for a short period after opening the safe. The safe can be easily fixed to the floor using the screws and raw plugs supplied. The key pad is easy to set up and use. The door can be a little tricky to open with the locking wheel and would benefit from either a redesigned wheel or a small handle. This is a minor criticism and the safe is otherwise well designed and a good buy.

One of the shelf supports was broken off on delivery and the other came detached very soon afterwards. This is more of a lockable storage cupboard than a safe.

Ordered the safe on line with fitting. The process was simple and the safe was delivered and fitted very quickly. Have found the safe ideal for home use, easy to use and with good capacity. In all very good.

Very happy with my purchase, delivery was quick and well packed. The safe is just the correct size for my needs and not to big to have on open display the quality is fine and the security code idea works well with the added bonus of the key if you forget the code or the battery fails. Got this safe as a secondary office safe. We wanted one large enough to put mobile devices like laptops and tablets. This safe was ideal for this purpose.

Ease of use:- It was very easy to set up and load the batteries. We set up the master code and changed the opening code. We felt reassured that there was a back up key in case we forgot the code or there was a failure. The light is useful to help us see the contents of the safe.

Build quality:- this safe isn’t fireproof but it fits our needs. We just wanted to put Our Mobile electronics out of the way of children and opportunitists.

Storage capacity:- large enough to store 3 laptops and 2 tablets, cameras + lenses, gopros etc.

Security:- it’s adequate when combined with other general security measures (cctv, burglar alarms etc).

Great value for money

I didn't think anyone could get excited over a Safe but I did! It's just brilliant and if you haven't got one, get one. I know it only looks like a metal box but it is much more than it looks; it is peace of mind when you're on holiday, away for a weekend or anytime and is very well made. I'd recommend this model for several reasons: it's excellent value for money, the interior light is really useful and the emergency opening key is a great idea and, unless you were in "The Italian Job", I can't see you getting into it easily. Big enough to fit laptops, hard drives and much more it's a worthwhile purchase - you won't regret having a safe but you may regret not having one. Safes make sense so get one, and if you're not sure which one, to get, why not get this one!

It pretty much does what it says on the tin. If you are looking for a massive heavy duty safe, this isn't it. If you are looking for a extremely good domestic safe then this fits the bill.

I have been extremely pleased with my purchase. It has been designed and manufactured with strength and security in mind and fits inconspicuousley amoungst other features. The electronic keypad and internal light is a distinct advantage but I feel it would benifit from an improved finger grip on the dial which is used to physically gain access. However It's certainly good value for money and shouldn't be disregarded based on this last comment.

Great product, arrived quickly and is heavy enough to be secure. The instructions made it clear how to set up a new code, there are keys in case of forgetting the code. The only reason I give 4 star on the quality is the plastic dial to open and close the safe feels a bit tacky and could snap if one was too aggressive with it. However, it opens easily after inputting the code so this shouldn't be a problem. There is a small hole in the back so it can be bolted/wire looped through for extra protection. Would recommend to offices or at home.

The Phoenix Vela SS0805e boasted value for money, security, and a perfect middle range for keeping valuables safe without spending an extortionate budget. Its size is generous and with its removable shelf you can fit rucksacks, consoles and some pc towers inside. its structure is solid and well made without compromise. Its interface is easy to operate manage. comes with a master override password thats changeable and a normal passcode. it also comes with an override key in case the batteries run out of juice when out of use.

This model is a great midrange safe for storring personal goods at home or in a small office. Value is uncontested especially when considering the space it has to offer.

Spent a long time looking for a safe and finally decided on the Phoenix Vela SS0805e. The descrition on the website was accurate as it looked to have a very good storage capacity and I was not disappointed. Not too heavy but by bolting to the wall it is secure. Easy to use keypad and an override key is added confidence if the battery goes flat. Overall very happy.

The only thing that’s an issue is the lock build mechanism

The knob feels very cheep and like it’s about to snap

For the money this is a great safe plenty of room for putting valuables in, the safety bolts are easy to fit... Highly recommended
