We bought this as a deterrent after being burgled.

It was a bit of a mine-field choosing a system, but after reading reviews and a quick discussion with Safe UK, we decided to go for the Swann DVR-4680 8 Channel HD 1080p-4 Camera.

It had everything we wanted....and my wife particularly wanted a system that a light came on after something was detected that changed the picture from black and white to colour in the dark. Easy to set up. Easy to install. Also gives you alerts on your phone which you can easily disable during the night. All in all a very good system which I would gladly recommend.

This is the third system I have bought. All three systems have been excellent and easy to install and provide excellent results.

The only thing is you have to use the “correct app” for the device, not always easy to know which to use. One app for all would be a great answer to this.

If I need a fourth system it will be a Swann system and it will come from Safe.

Easy to order, good if not best prices and delivery is great.

I have also bought other security items from Safe and always the service, price and delivery are hard to beat.

We decided to invest in this when we refurbished and extended our home. As we do quite a bit of travelling in normal times we decided that cameras would be much more useful as we would be able to keep an eye on the house whilst travelling and if we did get an alert we would be able to ascertain if there was a problem or just a false alarm. We have had a false alarm due to a fly going across the camera at close range. We added an additional couple of cameras and have them both inside and out. We helped the electrician installing them but could have done it on our own as the hardest part is getting them all linked to the hard drive which involves drilling through walls and taking up floor boards. Our daughter was able to get the IT element working quickly on our phones. The pictures seem quite clear and we felt the system was good value for money.

I purchased the Swann system to protect my home as there had been several burglaries in my area. Quite often these must have been opportunist burglaries as in some cases they took place while the occupiers were only away for a short time, like walking the dog or collecting the kids from school. I would appear that someone was watching the property waiting for the occupier to leave. It was this reason that made me think perhaps CCTV would solve that problem by identifying any odd behaviour by a person or vehicle.These cameras which I installed myself work very well, are clear and so far seem to the trick.

This 4 camera set up was excellent value for money for a well known brand. It was pretty much plug and play. The phone app is great to use. The cameras give a nice clear picture and it is great being able to see what is happening around my house when I am not home.

This was a good purchase as the courier company lost our last one. The sharpness of the images is fantastic, can be viewed remotely and installation was relatively simple. We use this system daily & it doesn’t always send back the images via the app, but works pretty good otherwise. Great buy
