The latch was just as we needed - its not always easy to find the exact size, material and type of latch you want. It was as described and very good quality. In fact I can see it from from my desk while writing the review and it looks great - there were no scratches or other damages or imperfections that affected the look of the visible parts. The movement of the latch is nice and smooth. Its hard to comment on security of the latch as its just used for an interior door where its not an issue so we haven't tested how secure it is.

We looked high and low for this particular product and we were delighted to find it easily at Safe. The web site was extremely easy to use and the product when we received it was well made and sturdy. My husband had absolutely no trouble fitting it. Delivery was good and we were delighted with the company.

This rebate latch has great finish quality, being well made, robust and smooth in operation. It feels like it should last for many, many years.

The latch and strike plate were straightforward to fit into a standard rebate.

The extra back-set of this latch positions the levers a little further from the door edge which gives a better aesthetic.

The price and delivery were excellent.

Bought to fit in a 35mm rebated internal door pretty much because the choice for this thickness of door is very limited.

Metal strike and facing plates are cosmetically good. However a plastic latch rather than metal and no dust box behind the face plate are signs of built to a cost ie as cheap as possible.

Latch spring mechanism could also be a bit heavier. Would not like to us with heavy handles as return may be marginal.

Overall, decent but would have paid more for a a higher quality if it was available

Good sturdy product works well with my pair of rebated doors.Wide fitting lock ,need a 40mm thick door to accomodate lock.care needs to be taken when chiseling out,
