Yale Easy Fit Telecommunicating Alarm Kit Reviews

This alarm does what it says, is easy to use and seems reliable. Installation was logical but confused by initially trying to follow the installation guide to the letter and by me or the unit getting confused, some sensors appeared to come up with the same areas/identities. if in any doubt or confusion or any other problems in the initial setup do not waste your time as I did persisting for hours in this mode just end the initial setup, then go into the programming mode delete the problematic sensor(s) and then re add them, Ta -Dah all working

Another confusion not mentioned is some sensors appeared to be unresponsive/not sensing while trying to test. The omission of this issue from the manual also wasted time, should you see this don't worry, it seems that some of the sensors take a couple of movement free minutes before they can recognise movement (like a background stabilisation), so if in the tests you can not get immediate response waving your hands, it may just need leaving the sensor a minute or two after setting before testing on walkthrough. As soon as I told the help line operator that 2 sensors appeared not to work he asked if I was the leaving it 2 minutes without movement, I suspect he gets this issue all the time.

Also if you have broadband on your phone don't forget to use an ADSL filter on the line from the unit.

whilst you could install this alarm alone, to put sensors in place and test is really a 2 person job so having a second pair of hands is invaluable.

With this knowledge the second system I installed was all done in 2.5 hours (as apposed to the best part of a day on the first one) .

A great product

It was fitted by my son in law who has fitted one before. He found it straightforward as with his own which was fitted a few months before. I am pleased it has a dummy external box so the house has one back and front. I am hoping this will deter burglars. The alarm is loud and set to give me plenty of time to disarm it in the morning. I will buy another control panel for upstairs so it can be switched off more easily in the mornings. I like the ability to switch off the upstairs alarm which I do at night.

Great product and easy to install, but ensure you have power and telephone socket in the location you are installing in otherwise you will end up with wires all over.

Never having an alarm before I was put off at the thought of having wires run everywhere until I came across this system, easy to fit, even for me and easy to use. The bright yellow alarm box makes it a very visable deterant and is loud enough to scare any intruder, being battery powered there's no need for wires except for the control unit that only needs a plug socket. I would recommend this to any novice DIY bodger, if I can fit it anyone can! Great alarm system at a very reasonable price making it available to all.

Great bit of kit and works well. Only wish I gone with the key pad and not the touchscreen. Find it hard to see first thing in the morning.

I gave a lot of thought to changing my 20 year old security system. I spent 3 months looking at self installed systems before buying my yale system. It was everything claimed. Easy to fit, easy to use and is proving very reliable.

Quality of product is good and was relatively easy to install.

An excellent, easy to install alarm system which is straightforward to use and readily accepts additional sensors (eg an additional entry/alarm setting keypad and door sensors for the rear of the house) - simply follow the instructions supplied. The system has many more functions available than most users will need or want, but it's simple to set up and does its' job very well. The highly visible outside siren unit is an obvious and effective deterrent against visitors of dubious character who might be showing an unwanted interest in your home, and if the alarm does go off, you and your close neighbours will definitely know about it.....which is exactly what you need and the 2nd reason (after the deterrent) for having an alarm installed the first place. This is a very good quality product from a well-respected manufacturer, and does what it says on the tin effectively and at a price which is good value for money

Great alarm system by Yale. Even if you only have basic DIY skills then you should be able to fit this system with no problems at all. My package didn't come with the instruction CD as advertised but it was easy to find the relevant video on youtube. Besides, the instruction manual provided pretty much covers everything you need to get up and running. You can then delve further if you want to tweak the settings once you are used to the basics. My only negative was the aftercare from Yale. I had some trouble linking a key fob which I bought later so rang Yale helpline only to be told by a receptionist I would be called back by an engineer later that day. Luckily I managed to solve it myself as I'm still waiting for the call several weeks later. Other than that I'm more than satisfied with my purchase.

brilliant product very easy to fit. straight forward instructions. once fitted very easy to test. we went for the two key fobs for ease of setting and disarming. we only have downstairs alarmed but we are able to set the alarm when going to bed which brings peace of mind for a good nights sleep. it is also a plus to have the alarm call one of our three chosen telephone numbers if we were unfortunate enough to be broken into to.with all the good points of the yale alarm, easy to use, the security it brings to our family and home is the good value for money this product brings.

This is the second system we’ve fitted after many years of excellent service from our old system, this package was easier to install and more efficient than the old unit. It covered all of our needs covering all rooms and doors that we needed to protect.

It didn’t take long to fit my alarm system - had to alter a couple of window sensors because of the way my double glazing frames were made. Other than that it’s been working very well.

This is the second Yale alarm system I have bought, the first one was for my wife's Auntie in the end October.

This was successfully installed by my self and so-in law we were very pleased with every aspect of the system and the ease at which we completed the installation.

I purchased another Alarm for my son to be fitted in his business unit this we did again with the greatest of ease.

I must say that the quality of the alarm systems are excellent the ease of installation is due to the really good instructions giving step by step written and visual information.

The second alarm had all the accessories. fire alarm. door sensors, all of them are really good quality.

All very easy to operate in the confidence that the two properties are secure especially for insurance reasons in keeping the costs down

Great value for money. It's pretty much straight out of the box but I'd recommend reading the instruction manual too.

Been installed for 3 months now, no false alarms but works when I forget to disarm. Fantastic for the price.

We bought this product after we got burgled (Wish we had it before) This items was so easy and fast to install due to being wireless and came with good instructions. This product has made me and my family feel much safer. The automatic call function if the alarm goes off is great and love the fact that you can add more devices we also purchased another door sensor and key pad so we can set the alarm from upstairs. We have not had any false alarms and we would highly recommend this product to anyone. We thought about getting a monitored alarm but glad we went for this item as it has saved alot of money over a monitored alarm and pretty much the same functions.

The kit was surprisingly easy to set up. I followed the instructions to the letter and before I knew it I had a functioning alarm system. I had a professional install the boxes on the outside wall of the house, but the rest I did myself without any problems.

Since then, the system has worked faultlessly and has only been triggered twice - both times due to me or my wife not adhering to the correct procedures. On both occasions the system called my mobile to warn me as promised. I would recommend the system to anyone and feel that the asking price was reasonable for what you get and the security and peace of mind it affords. We sleep soundly upstairs, knowing the downstairs is armed and watching out for us.

This is the second Yale DIY alarm Ive had,The first was about 10 years ago and it lasted well but this one is a big improvement.

Fitting is trouble free,only a few minuets per item (door sensors,control box,alarm and PIR's) all went without a hitch. The sensors come with both sticky fixes and screws,use screws every time!

Programming is also trouble free,follow the instruction book for the first one then you dont even need to refer to the book again. Phone connection works well with some nice features like listening into your house from where ever you are and being able to switch the alarm on and off remotely (great if your away from home the alarm goes off for some un intentional reason and you need to turn of the alarm without returning home) .

The number of door sensors and PIR's was enough for my needs and extras are available if needed at a reasonable price. My big recommendation would be to add key ring remote switches as an extra,these are a 10 second job to programme in and make using the system so much easier,leave the house and switch on,approach the house and switch off,simples!!

I have the system set for full use when Im out and night time use when Im home, this second option restricts which sensors are active allowing me to move about the house at night without setting off the alarm while all the door and windows are alarmed..

The build quality is very good and the built in warning of low batteries is a great addition to the old system we had.

This alarm was purchased to go into a new house, straight out of the box the parts show good quality and the instruction manual is very extensive and takes you step by step through the initial set up and provides clear operating instructions. Installation was very simple, following the instructions you couldn't go wrong, all fixings are supplied in the box. If the alarm is activated it will call up to 3 programmed numbers to let you know, the door contacts are activated every time the door is opened, even when not alarmed, which is great if the little ones let themselves into the garden. We have had the alarm installed for a few months now and have never had a false activation

a quick way to protect home. instructions should be simplified. would have been easier to do a step by step install guide.

The appliance pack is a value for money on my personal view, the sensor are not accurate as I was expecting it to be, maybe because of poor quality but the window sensors and siren works really well. The master console expects a phone a power socket closed to it and it could cause some installation headaches. Another issue is regarding the siren and the main console, the maximum distance between them are not great and it also could cause installation challenges. Overall it is a not expensive appliance for small houses and with a really fair price.

Great product at a very reasonable price!

I am an 81 year who was a little concerned about setting it up but found it very straightforward and easy. I particularly like the ability to set up before fitting the siren.Overall it is a superb product but I have 2 suggestions.

Make it possible to reduce the volume of the internal sounder including timeout pips.

I replaced a very old alarm which had a "quick set " facility which I miss on the Yale as it avoids waking kids up when setting after they are in bed.To sum up, first class product and great value for money.

Looking for a replacement for an old house alarm system led us to look at the excellent range of alarm systems from Yale, always a name to be trusted being a well respected manufacturer.

Not being a specialist I wanted a system that was both easy to fit and reliable. The Yale Easy fit Telecommunicating alarm was for us the perfect choice. It was extremely easy to fit as the components ‘talk’ to each other for a seamless setup.

We chose Safe.co.uk as they were very competitive and their delivery service was second to none as the system arrived well packed and in perfect condition. I would not hesitate to recommend both.

The alarm was delivered very quickly and in good order. Also when I had cause to contact the firm before ordering I found them to be extremely helpful and polite and went out of their way to solve my query for me. As for the alarm itself it was very easy to set up and looks very neat and unobtrusive in my hallway. I had to position it where it was visible even though the instructions recommend it be sited out of the way. This was because of the plug socket and telephone socket being accessible. The PIRs were positioned easily and the ones bought separately were easy to pair with the system. The only thing I had to work out was how to see the display when I wanted to set it but I eventually works out that I just had to press the OK button and that lit up the display. Just me being thick I think though it didn't mention it in the instructions. All in all we are well pleased with it. It hasn't had cause to contact us yet and I hope it never does! Ten out of ten for the system and the staff support.

Excellent item hope to buy again for additional premises.

Good product for the price, my only criticism is the manual and online guidance particularly when adding extra sensors.

It is far easier to clear all sensors at start then add them naming each one as you set them up.

Appears simple installation but beware if you go wrong which I found easy to do, and forget the Yale support team I rang three times and E mailed four time and never got a response so it took me three weeks to install to a satisfactory level, also I bought add on's which are "easy to install" but were not compatible, changed batteries and tried all that blogs recommended but had to drop these as no good, noted that they were series 1A and not as pack originally purchased which was 2a, Yale did not respond to call for help again so situation normal there, noted that radio range is very limited by walls, glass etc, I live in a two bed bungalow and could not exercise the advertised range so had to compromise security!? buyer beware.

First class product, easy to use. It is quite expensive, particularly when you start to buy all the add-ons (we bought a separate keypad so the main display is hidden from advice we found online but also door sensors and room sensors depending on the size of your house). We haven't had any problems with it going off when it shouldn't, even when we've lost power it just runs off the batteries. I would definitely recommend this product and buying it through safe.co.uk as it was the cheapest place to get it from and the service was excellent.

Excellent alarm and very straight forward to install once you have read the instructions it's fairly self explanatory and I watched the installation videos to help me to that are available on YouTube, there is also plenty of information available on line about Yale alarms,

Great alarm, at a great price!

Moving into our new home and being burgled, we didn't hesitate in choosing an alarm. Recommended by our electrician to a Yale we had our mind set, more so as this unit is almost wireless it meant we could assemble it all with ease around the home to maximise security in areas of entry.

It's been installed around 3 months and it's now of course an important in our home.

Excellent so good three of my neighbors have purchased it

I did a lot of research before settling on this particular model and glad I did because it fitted the bill perfectly. Even before it was delivered I watched the Yale video several times which was really easy to follow. The alarm itself was simple to fit with very easy to follow instructions. Once all the sensors, contacts and panel were fitted the set up was again straightforward but it is important to follow the instructions to the letter. I did have to ring Yale once to check something and they were very helpful. The alarm is fully functioning and works very well and is in my view a good value for money alternative to a more expensive professionally fitted and maintained one.

I have installed Five of the easy fit Yale easy fit alarms for family and friends, I am qualified electrician and after installation friends and family have been very pleased with the product after there old alarm systems have fail due to age the Yale easy fit is a quick harf day install if you have a pair of long ladders and a sharp drill bit.

The only extra thing I needed extra after experience installing the system would be 2.5mm metal drill bit if putting door sensors on a metal/PVC door frame which you get in most modern house obviously the drilled hole is used as pilot hole any smaller and the screws will snap.

I would also suggest getting the remote control key fob as part of the install as this make the day to day use of the alarm so much easier and there only £20 which

Bought this based on price, ease of fit, ease of use and also importantly the Wi-fi band used as we have thick 18th century cottage walls.

Couldn’t be happier, fitted everything in about two hours. Only thing I needed to borrow was a tall ladder to fit the box.

Very easy to operate, just like any other modern alarm. It can ring your mobiles to advise of activation and you can activate and deactivate remotely by phone if needed.

Very easy to add extra contacts, keypads etc.

Asthetically it looks good. Nice boxes outside and control box. Only part not wireless is control box which has power and phone cables.

We bought this product from adage because the price was extremely competitive. It arrived very quickly - what more can you ask for! Setting this up was straight forward, the instructions were simple and easy to follow. Once set up the product itself was very easy to use - we bought the key fob and this synced to the system without fuss. It allows for easy activation / deactivation of the alarm, which with shopping and children is great! We also fitted the window and door sensors which again were easy to sync to the system. This ability to add to the security system is a great feature. All in all a great product and excellent service.

It appears to be well built and is extremely easy to fit. The instruction manual is very clear and was easy to follow to get the alarm installed in the correct order. It is very easy to operate. Since purchasing the original system I have added a key fob and a keypad. These were extremely easy to add to the original system. As my main control panel is not conveniently placed due to the telephone point, the keypad was a very important addition. Also being able to have more than one PIN number means that each family member can have their own number. Well done YALE!

I found the product of good quality as one would expect from Yale. It was quite easy to install and took several hours from identifying where all the parts should be positioned to the final installation. The commissioning of the system was quite straight forward with a few glitches on my part through mis-reading part of the installation instructions. Since then 2 more neighbours have purchased the system and also impressed with the quality and price of the product. Needless to say their installations were quite straightforward having gained from my installation. I found Yale easy to contact and very helpful when any query arose. I would recommend this product.

i had brought this product as i wanted some additional security for my property. it arrived quickly and everything that i needed was in the one box.

within a matter of 2 hours i was able to install the main components which included the control panel, the two PIRS and the external siren. the remaining parts (x 2 door / window alarms) were installed the next day. this literally took 5 minutes. the handy part of this was that these came with an adhesive backing so i didnt need to drill anything (although drilling is an option for enthusiasts).

Overall this was a very easy installation and it looks like a really professional finish. it really is a DIY job. overall the other thing that is really useful is that the PIRS come ready paired to the console. this makes life so much easier.

this was one of my best buys and gives the family peace of mind.

Easy to use.

It's exactly what we needed and wanted.

The alarm was simple to put together and fit. It's neat and discreet and very easy to use. We like the fact that it comes with a dummy box for the back of the house which discourages intruders.

The box that is fitted inside the house is very neat and you can customise to your needs and with additional remote controls it's very easy to turn on and off so you don't have to worry about exiting and entering the house each time. The fact the alarm informs us when it goes off is an absolute blessing so you know what to expect. All in all the alarm is wonderful. Thank you.

Hi just got my Easy Fit Telecommunicating Alarm system from Yale

In the post been waiting all week for post man to come .Well packaged no loose bits every thing complete all boxed up ,battery,s screws sticky pads Pir,s two off and two door sensors and two key ring senors for wife and i two out side wall mounted alarm unites and control box .Followed instruction book to the letter, had it all fitted in four hours .What peace off mind to have a safe house the units look great the control board very easy to use for all of us at home .Just like to thank Yale team for a superb product

Very stylish, neat and easy to fit. Only compromise to neatness is routing power supply to control panel. Installation is quite straightforward, but a bonus is to view the online video from Yale which explanes installation step by step.

All the components appear to be made from quality parts & much thought appears to have gone into making each assessory tamper proof. The PIR & door switches supplied are recognised by the control on installation but any additional assessories purchased must be manually added via the control panel menu, but this is very easily accomplished.

All in all I would recommend this alarm system for DIY installation with its comprehensive features & ability to dial out to the owner with a warning if triggered by unauthorized entry.

This is a neat installation - no wires! It replaced an old wired system and is much neater in design. Installing is reasonably straightforward and any DIY'er will cope easily. you do need to have power for the base unit and a phone line, I installed an additional spur socket and added a wireless phone jack to solve the phone line location. As for usage arm and disarm is easy especially with the key fob and my wife uses this to home arm the unit, doors only when in the house alone, the panic button is a nice feature. So all in all this is a flexible unit easy enough to install and easy to use - All that's missing is being able to add an additional internal siren happy with the set up.

Very easy to fit with moderate skills required,

We had an attempted break in and my son was not sleeping at all after the incident,

so after advice we decided to fit an alarm,we picked Yale because it is a well know brand with a great reputation we were not disappointed.

The alarm comes very well packaged in quite a small box for the amount that's inside.

Very clear and easy to understand instructions,

It was a joy to fit.and no wires the siren is very loud.

I really like the extra dummy siren box for extra security.and the telephone alert system is a real added bonus.My son now sleeps great at night!

Apart from initial setting up problems, I find the alarm very easy to use.

The support staff were extremely helpful and arranged for a new control panel to be delivered.

I have put some masking tape over the speaker because I find the setting bleeps too loud. I am terrified of setting the alarm of because it is so loud in the house it makes my ears ring but I suppose that is the idea, to scare off anyone who should not be in there.

I do feel more secure with the alarm as it is a great deterrent & I do use it every night and whenever I leave the house.

An alarm that unsets itself whilst you are out of the house , pointless!

Having installed various wired alarms over the years I decided to give a wireless set up a go.The installation process was relatively straight forward following the supplied manual.

Programing although initially a bit confusing was after properly reading the instructions logical and easy to do.

The system is easy to use and to date has not given any false alarms which was my main concern with wireless.

I have now bought a remote key fob which makes life even easier with the ability to arm/disarm without touching the main panel.

With this being a wireless alarm I have also installed a PIR in the garage without having to figure out where to run wires which shows the flexibility of the system.

All in all a good,easy to install and use flexible system.

Excellent value, easy to install and simple to operate

I,ve had one of these for years myself, then when my daughter got broken into while on holiday ,i decided to buy her the same system,when it arrived I realised it was a lot easier to fit than mine had been ,the components were far more wirelessly compatible to each other ,which made installing fairly simple ,anyway its installed and gives her peace of mind again,I would highly recommend this system to anyone needing one .

Installation was really easy. Just followed the instructions to set the pir / door contacts and everything works great.

have not fitted it yet due to work on the outside of house but it looks the business and will do a good job

The alarm was exactly what my son was looking for. He had just bought a brand new house and he wanted the security of a reputable alarm system without having to drill holes into the new plaster and hard wire into the electrical system. The Yale Easy Fit Telecommunicating Alarm did every thing that was expected. Yale are highly regarded in the alarm business, and we fitted the Control Panel, PIR sensors, the door sensors, the siren box and dummy box in one morning. Connecting to the land line also gives the added security that you are aware if the alarm is triggered if you are away from the home.

We had two burglaries down our road do bought the Yale package from Safe. The product is good, came quickly and at a competitive price, plus it's going it's job.

I was initially impressed with this Yale alarm for its easy installation and set up. Using Wifi means there are no cables to run from the various motion detectors to the main hub. However, this comes at a cost. The Wifi reception throughout my house for my other wireless devices has been drastically reduced. I have played around with frequencies to make marginal improvements but the Yale alarm certainly reduces the Wifi signal in your home.

Worst of all though has been the level of Yale's customer services. After installing the alarm I received an error message on the main box informing of a defective tamper switch on the alarm. Also, the dial out feature on the alarm (crucial for notifying by phone of an alarm activation) fails to work. I have been on the phone to customer services numerous times, and have been promised a call back by the technical team numerous times, but this never materialises. What I'm left with is a partially functioning alarm that has deteriorated the quality of our home Wifi. I would not recommend Yale to a friend!

Easy to install. Comprehensive instructions.

I would say that my alarm is so far very good. It is easy to use when either entering or leaving the house. Just on click on the alarm fob either enables it or disables it. The installation was not as straight forward as I thought. I think some of this was due to me and some due to the instructions. The instructions at a couple of points make assumptions that you have either done something or naturally know what to do. What I needed was an idiots guide , something like a very simple step by step instruction. But overall I am pleased with my purchase.

Very good alarm system and great customer service.

I've had this alarm up for a few months now and am very pleased with it. It was very easy to set up and install and the menu on the control panel is simple to use and self explanatory (e.g. add device, name device etc)

The alarm is loud and the Siren box also has 3 flashing LED lights when the alarm is going off. You can set these lights to flash all the time which I liked the idea off but the max time you can set is 60 seconds which will obviously affect the battery quite considerably so I opted to have them off.

The PIR sensors are quick and easy to put up - just separate the back bracket and attach to the wall via 2 screws.

The door sensors are even easier as you can use sticky adhesive pads which are provided. I opted to use the pads as they were going onto wooden door frames and they are very strong once stuck.

I, like many others, also bought the portable keypad so I can keep the main control panel hidden. This works very well and I highly recommend it for ease of use.

You also get 2 window stickers which state your property is alarm protected and of course the Siren boxes are bright yellow and (hopefully) a good deterrent.

Service from safe.co.uk was excellent. I shopped around and it was cheapest on here by about £20. After ordering I got an update email and again the next day to say it would be delivered. Good service.

Great item and easy to install and use. Highly recommended product and after sales service was excellent.

I replaced an old Yale wireless PIR system with this new one with the facility to make phone calls when activated. All other items were similar but overall the new unit has more features and can accept more devices. The only slight downsides are:- my bell is in a position which for security reasons is difficult to access, there is not an option to power it other than by battery so replacement will be a little challenging. Also the touch screen is not as tactile as the old one so my son who is partially sighted must always use the remote fob. It was just as easy to install and operate.

I ordered some additional units, one of wihch was due in shortly but good email communication meant I knew exactly when to expect the item. Very easy to use and navigate website and very competitive pricing. Lots of associated security items on the website which I'll be making an order soon. Of all the places I looked at for DIY Alarm system Safe.co.uk is head and shoulders above the others. This is a very easy to install burglar alarm system. It is very easy to use and looks rather high tech. The system has a multitude of functions including a pre alarm function that will alert you to put the code in when you enter the area of the first alarm.

When setting up the system you need to make sure that the sensors are put into the order right order or you program them in in the right order as if you don't the alarm will go off when you enter the room. There is a panic alarm on the alarm pad itself which is ridiculously loud.

The system can be used with other products and you can add products too it but just be careful that you don't try add this system to an older system as it wont work.

All in all this is a great product and just as good as a hard wired one.

The Yale system is relatively easy to fit and set -up, although the instructions for use could be clearer. All the component parts are neat and tidy, and do not look out of place. I have had one false alarm in the three months since fitting, I have reported this fault but no explanation was given, nor has the offending PIR been replaced.. I will be really disappointed if this occurs again and will expect a replacement part or home visit from Yale. At just under £300 for a fully functioning system to suit my need and the size of our house, i think is good value.

Very good product at a very competative price. The instructions were easy to follow making it a simple task to site the door and window sensors. Fitting the alarm boxes and operating panel was straightforward with all the screws and fixings supplied. The control panel is easy to operate with the added option of being able to increase the number of sensors, both door and window at a later date, should you need it. Personally I would recommend purchasing the key fob as it saves the hassle of returning to the control panel when arming or disarming. Would definitely recommend this product.

Installation of the Yale Telecommunicating EF-KIT2 is very easy to follow with the simple to understand instruction guide included in the package. All materials for the complete kit are included in the box apart from a few simple tools, easy for the DIY enthusiast.

The system software is pre-configured for all the supplied sensors and siren so it is able to work "straight from the box" when plugged in so only few holes to drill and bits to fix on the walls.

With two years warranty on all parts and good guides provided and a helpline to call, you cannot go wrong and the reasonable price provides excellent value for money.

As with any DIY installation kit, the instructions need to be good with a good back-up on the phone if needed. I found both to be above average. I consider myself tech savvy and a competent DIYer and still found some aspects time consuming and awkward. I dont think this is a flaw in the product but more in the fact that this needs to be adapted to many different types of homes. I had a faulty PIR which kept triggering the alarm, but when i identified the problem, YALE aftersales dispatched a replacement without question. If you are prepared to put the time and effort in to make it work, then it is a great bit of kit. If not, then get someone to install it for you! For the money versus a profesional installation, it is excellent.

This is a high quality unit, which is of excellent quality build and materials. Fitment was very easy to take care of with the minimum of fuss and the minimum of tools. This was very well supported by the comprehensive and very easy to follow instruction booklet.

The Yale Easy Fit Telecommunicating Alarm system is easy enough for anyone with an average level of DIY to accomplish. No wiring and a very good transmission range with a clever range and signal checker makes this suitable for most homes and offices. Has all the features most top end alarm systems come with and can be expanded to include up to 20 zones! Convenient remote access and a 3 different contacts called systematically in an emergency when the alarm is triggered!

There are a lot of batteries! (all included) they have a good lifespan and low consumption modes. But eventually they will require changing!

My small gripe would be the very attractive touch screen control panel can easily be accidentally triggered if your positioning of it isn't carefully selected and well out of reach of careless limbs or curious children!

'SAFE.co.uk' are one of the best value online sellers and if you do find it cheaper anywhere else they'll double the difference, so that's even better value for money!

In conclusion a very competent, practical and low cost way to add an extra layer of protection to your home and office. I certainly sleep better at night when I'm at home or away.

I'm terrible at DIY but a friend offered to assist if needed.

I thought I'd give it a bash myself and after borrowing some ladders (and nearly soiling my pants on the way up!) I set about trying to install on my own.

The system is that easy to install that I managed it within 2 hours. I'm still impressed with myself to this day! I also purchased a few extra items and these were simple to synch with the system. Would definitely recommend.

To fitted the system without any issues and it worked fine for a week or two but after returning home one day and disarming the unit the exterior alarm sounded after around 3 minutes and I've had this issue ever since,I contacted Yale and they sent me a new external bell which was ok for a while but now has the same issue so I need to contact Yale again but if the issue is not resolved soon I will be returning it for a refund.okk,

Excellent product and great value for money. Not too handy on the DIY front but this was extremely simple to install. The range of the wireless works just fine - I’ve fitted a PIR to an external garage and it still works no problem. Set the system up and then decided I wanted to add another keypad and was able to add it to the current system no problem. Unable to comment on the battery life but 6 months in and not having any problems. The instructions advise I’ll get a warning on the system when they need changing. Have two zones set up, one for when we’re at home upstairs and one for when we’re away. Overall excellent product and very prompt service by safe.co.uk. Highly recommend product and company.

The alarm was very good value for the money and was easy fitted.The only problem I had was with the instructions. I think you could put in a few examples to make it easier.Having said that when you get into it it becomes much clearer. The sleep mode on the sensors can be confusing you think they are not working and have to wait a bit annoying when you activate the alarm.I think the product is very good and have recommended the alarm to my thee sons.O ne has purchased the one with the modem he has not fitted it yet has he has just moved house.Would recommend the product to anyone.

A very good product at amazing price, only a very small head scratching but in reality easier than we thought. like most blokes a quick skim over the instructions will do. Advise spending a little more time just to absorb. Instructions are good and clear, very easy to follow. just a couple of pages that must be read, but not complicated, Had set up in a couple of hours....cordless drill is a must. I have just set up basic setup, linking it to my phone. Even that was easy. Next step is to buy more additions, not expecting and great issues installing them. Fantastic peace of mind, wife has remote. I prefer entering code by hand.

Good Basic Alarm System. Any one can do the installation easly.

My grandson installed the alarm he found it quite easy to put in the instructions he followed and found it good to follow. He set up the wireless part on the monitor we purchased some remote controls to make it easy when we needed to set or unset the monitor we also purchased control for upstairs so we can do the setting when we go to bed. If the alarm goes of it contacts my mobile to let me know we have also set my grandsons mobile as a second number. We have had to buy some more sensors to set with the alarm but overall the alarm system appears great.

This product is great value for money and is very simple to install and use. Most people should be able to install it themselves, thereby saving on third party installation costs (I only needed somebody to hold the ladder when I went up to fix the external alarm). I would thoroughly recommend also getting the key fob as part of your base kit as it adds much more flexibility to the alarm operation and means you do not have to rush through the door to switch of the alarm at the panel on entry. Plus, being wireless, the whole kit is very easily demountable so it can move with you to your next property.

"Easy Fit" is an understatement... even I could do it without being a DIY person, instructions are easy to follow, the siting of all the equipment and the setting up of the system went without any hitches. I would recommend not doing the "man thing" of diving straight in and starting to fix it without reading the instructions first (reading them does save time in the end!!).

Overall it is easy to use but I would add a Key Fob to the pack as this makes the setting and unsetting so much easier (especially for Granny when she comes to feed the cat) .. definitely a good buy for the peace of mind of having an Alarm.

Bought this kit from Safe and felt that it was very good value for the money installation was fine but I did struggle when pairing up devices as the panel goes into its next stage and book didn’t say what you should be seeing as I kept going back several times before I actually continued with the set up but apart from this I think it’s amazing value for this technology it all worked fine and now feel a bit more secure my only real problem was the rear door the sticky pad come away from the frame which meant system was telling me there was a problem but soon found the problem fixed it more securely and we’ll pleased I also bought extra key fobs for ease of use and all’s brilliant many thanks to all at Safe and co and would definitely recommend

Very easy to set up and boy is it loud inside. Didn't get 5 stars as there are some settings that are not fully configurable such as having different set delays for home and away, but this is a minimal problem.

My old wired security system went on the blink - literally. I decided on a wireless system, shopped around and found the Yale security system. But when I went to my normal sources for electrical and DIY products there was nobody who could give me any guidance. By pure chance I stumbled across Safe.

First time (female) installing my own alarm system. Found it really straight forward. Devices come ready programmed in you just change their names (if you want to) I needed additional devices which was easy to add to the system. Bought for the additional feature the alarm calls you if it goes off it also displays the zone which caused it to go off. You can also contact the alarm system remotely via the phone to switch it on and off (not used this feature yet). Siren very loud inside and out if activated. All wireless except for the connection to the phone line I needed to purchase extension wire because of the distance but not an expensive item to buy.

Promptly delivered at a very competitive price this Yale security system is about as easy instal as any. It has more flexibility than most people need so you have to be careful when reading through all the options to get your setup right. It's a really popular system in the neighbourhood because of its short order to installed time. No need to pay a specialist security company to come out. Simply do it yourself with just a masonary drill and a ladder. It helps to have a buddy to check the system out so you can ensure you have named all the sensors correctly and assigned them to the correct operational zone. Good luck.

It's been great. We were recently burgaled and that's why we decided to get an alarm system. What attracted us to your product is the bright yellow box for the outside. We felt that was more of a detterance for a burglar than other brands like ADT because it was brighter and more prominent. The fitting was really easy. There have been a few problems - it did take a while for someone to get in touch and arrange a date to come round and install, but the person who did was really great, the other thing was one of the sensor that you stick in the corner on the ceiling keeps falling down, which is a bit annoying, it just needs stronger sticky tape i think. But we have the option to screw it in so it's not that big a deal. Really good product though, feel a lot safer.

Very easy to install and good quality product. One of my sensors was not working properly so had to call and request a replacement which arrived promptly. Key pad is small, discreet and really easy to use. Can hear 'beeps' so know alarm has activated or switched off. Use both keypad and remote keyfob. Really loud both inside and out when it goes off so excellent! The main control panel is tucked away in a cupboard as only need to use it if there is a problem. Outside Yale box is bright and stands out well.Would definitely recommend this alarm.

However overall they were clear and easy to follow. Installation was simple and quick as was programming the unit. Yale support was helpful and sorted out my misunderstanding, although as usual these days they were ' experiencing high volumes of calls '. System has been working well for sometime now.

We are delighted with the product, it works, looks like and is a professionally installed product. It's not a quick "DIY" installation project so we allowed time to thoroughly read through the instructions. It appeared far easier with two people and we staggered the installation over two days remembering that there is some ladder work.

My son fitted the alarm and programmed it for me. He asked various questions so he could get it exactly right for me. The remote us extremely useful. I live on my own so I set the alarm once I am upstairs. It makes me feel safe. My neighbours are impressed with the alarm and the program. They have a key and if it goes off unexpectedly whilst I am out the can go and check my house and reset the alarm. The alarm is very loud but I think that is a good thing. The alarm came quickly after the order and came in a well contained box. The instructions told me how to set it up easily and also how to fit the product myself. The variety of settings which allow me to have it on for the full house and just part set when I am in are reassuring.

I have been looking for a new house alarm system to replace the origional wired system in my home which had broken down. After checking what was available at the local DIY outlets, I saw the YALE ALARMS. I then decided to look on the computer to see if I could buy one any cheaper.After looking at quite a few sites, I came across SAFE found the system that I wanted and then realised that for the same price as the DIY store I could get from SAFE and the one from SAFE included 2 extra items. Having reviewed various options and models online the Yale Easy Fit Telecommunicating Alarm was clearly a very good option to fit my needs and at a very competitive price compared to other suppliers and other options.

Fitting was straightforward and easy to follow and complete. I did have one issue but that was due to me and not the product or set up instructions. I did call the Yale helpline and they were very friendly and efficient and assisted me on the same call.

We bought two remote control units which makes arming and disarming the system easier and trouble free when leaving or returning to the house.

We also bought a remote control pad which is locate din ur walk in wardrobe which allows us to fully arm and disarm the system from the bedroom.

All in all very pleased with the system and its functions.

Have to read the instructions closely and more than once but they do eventually make sense. PIR's and door contacts are on the large size but seem to do the job. OK as a deterrent.

Easy to install and the wireless range is very good but the operation is a little complicated, as is the set up of the devices.

Be prepared to study the manual . Overall it seems good value and the Yale customer service are very helpful.

Purchased a yale wireless alarm system for some additonal piece of mind. Physicap installation was very simple and configuration took some time but thats because of all the options available which is only a good thing.

Works fine so far and would buy again, Safe was the cheapest and since the original purchase bought additional items to expand the alarm.

An excellent easy to use system which I used to replace my outdated original system which didn't work. I have since added additional PIR and remote fob. Overall provides the peach of mind and visual deterrent required. Once set off the siren is painfully loud. Certainly would (and have) recommended this system to neighbours. I haven't used the dial out facility as it's not totally clear how to connect to the fibre broadband (I understand a special connector maybe required but I haven't explored this yet

I'd fitted a similar Yale alarm for a friend a couple of years ago so I purchased this version to protect our own home. The installation is really easy and there's an online installation demo. video as well. Pairing additional devices & final set-up is also easy as is the testing mode. Day-to-day use is also very straight-forward, especially if you arm/disarm via the additional keyfob. I'm very happy with this system and would definitely recommend it.

I was most impressed with the alarm system and being only a diy guy found it fairly easy to install. It was delivered well on the time stated and and the packaging was of a very high quality. I added extra units to the system which worked out without any problems. On testing the system every alarm including the door sensors worked perfectly. I somehow mislaid the instructions for the installation of the system. I telephoned your helpline and found them most courteous and very helpful. Within a few hours they had e mailed me a full copy of the instructions.

I had originally got a quote for the installation of an alarm system and saved myself £1000 by using the Yale alarm.

I have been using this now for a month or more, all works well. I bought a key fob to arm and disarm as the panel being backlight and touch sensitive doesn't respond perfectly and I did get an alarm in error as I couldn't get the screen to light up. The key fob makes it easy to use, worth paying extra for ease of use, with Key fob I give it a perfect score. I would purchase another and recommend to anyone.

Safe were cheaper and fast on delivery. If you want an easy install it cant get easier than this. Watch online videos for installing takes the guesswork out.

I purchased this product four months ago, and so far it has proved to be an excellent choice. It is fairly complex to install the different components and it is very important to heed warnings to read the instructions carefully before beginning installation and to understand how to silence the alarms if accidentally set off! I would recommend setting aside several hours to install the different components. I very much like that only the control panel requires hard wiring, and that there is considerable flexibility in adding additional numbers and types of sensors as needed. Online support was very helpful at one point. Once setup, the system is very simple to use and it is easy to instruct family and friends how to turn the system off and on. I have had no problems and no false alarms and I highly recommend it.

My husband and nephew fitted the alarm for my father-in-law. All of the parts were included in the package and the install instructions were very good. it took an afternoon to fit the whole system and after a few practice runs my elderly father in law managed to get the hang of the alarm system and flt relatively confident in using it. The package arrived in good condition and on the right day and within the times we were notified of. All in all a very good buy and I would definitely recommend it for anyone else. The fitters would agree too as it was n hassle to fit.

Only one thing that i do not understand is puting the phone number in it gives you option to put three numbers in but it calls only one number whay for are those two numbers for if some one know do tell me please rest is very easy i will recomend it to my friends.

The Yale easy fit telecommunicating alarm is as it says "easy fit" about 8 screws holes drilled and away you go. The box communicates really easily with the components and it is so easy to set up. The other good thing is that the system can be expanded on as and when with any of the accessories. Yale really have got the market "locked up" with this system. The item was delivered by SAFE.CO.UK and it was by far the best retailer for price.

A good loud alarm system which works in my old victorian house. Range is good despite thick walls. A few issues setting up as you can adjust sensitivity levels of sensors to suit, but use helpdesk who were very very good. Not sure if animal friendly sensors are worth it as my dog still seems to set off one of them. Have set up with separate wifi enabled camera system which means if alarm activated i can view live stream in the house. Would have preferred the option of a less visually intrusive alarm box as it doesn't look good on my front wall, but i guess that is offset against deterrent.
