I would recommend this item without fail, it looks good, manufactured to such a high standard, you feel completely safe knowing your items of work and personnel properties are completely secure

The weight is perfect for the size of the safe, it reminds me of the Tardis it is bigger inside then on the outside

I chose this safe because it is the larger of the series and can easily fit an A4 sheet (and therefore a small laptop/tablet) inside. This safe has 4 fixing holes in the base of the unit only, allowing you to fix to a solid floor. It comes with 4 bolts and 4 plastic plugs to aid with this. Inside there is a shelf and a plastic draw. The draw is useful for all those little bits (like keys) and is relevantly well hidden when you first open the safe (so long as the safe is below your eye level). The keypad can take a little time to "wake up" - I have found that the easiest way is to just rest 3 or 4 fingers on the pad until it wakes up. The process to open it is then very simple.

There is no need for 50 words or more the Yale Large Fire Safe has met and probably surpassed my expectations. It stores everything I need it to store and it has given me a sense of comfort that I did not fully expect. The comfort is the feeling that the contents are valuable and will be protected in unforgiving circumstances and it is comforting to know that all the items / documents that are meaningful in life are stored in one place and stored safely. I have no hesitancy in recommending the safe to my friends.

We are very pleased with our safe. It fits in perfectly, has just the right space for us and is bolted and glued to the floor so we are very confident that it will be in its place forever. The safe was delivered first thing in the morning to our back door and it was easy for us then to transport it to it’s final destination. We have recommend your company and our safe in particular to our friends as we are sure they will want to feel as confident as we do that our important papers and valuables are safely locked away.

This Yale Large Fire Safe is a great size. Deep enough to hold A4 documents, with a shelf 2/3 of the way up, a pull out tray near the top and key hooks on the back of the door. Ideally it needs to be installed on a concrete floors so it can be secured with the 2 mounting bolts which are supplied. I like the feature of being able to add extra digits to the front and back of the actual entry code if you think you are being overlooked. It often takes a couple of presses to wake up the code entry touchpad, but you develop a knack. The ability to be able to supply external power (PP9 battery) if the internal battery goes flat was something I specifically looked for.

This is a really well made bit of kit. I've read other peoples comments about the touch panel not responding when you touch it with your finger - easy fix, place your fingers flat onto the touch panel and it works every time.

The touch display is temperamental .

This is the first "fire proof" safe I have ever owned. It has a modern digital operational keyboard pad, easy to set up and utilise. It has the additional options of floor or wall securing. I consider it a important addition to domestic security.

We've purchased this one because of it's internal A4 capacity and we couldn't be happier. We figured that for a little extra money, the results would be future-proofing. Easy to use and set up, discreet and it does what it says on the tin. Would buy again.

Having researched into various safes, I settled on this particular model for several reasons, the first being the large internal storage size. It has a small concealed tray at the top which has place holdings for bank cards, and jewellery etc, which is ideal. There is then another shelf below, which is removable, and leaves plenty of room for other items such as hard drives, passports, wedding certs etc. The safe is also fire proof, which I would consider to be of great importance. The operation of opening and closing the safe is easy with a simple to operate touch control panel. The safe also has a time delay, and the ability to give temporary access to people should they require it. The ability to also bolt the safe to the floor is also of benefit. This safe is a great choice for your home, and is made to a high standard by the reputable company Yale.

I was a bit suspicious when I saw the low price asked for a large capacity fire safe and was pleasently surprised when it arrived and I saw the build quality, the weight alone told me it was well built. The capacity is large enough to carry important documents and treasured posessions. The instructions could not have been simpler, even for an old technophobe.

My only worry is there is no mention of how to get into the thing if anything goes wrong, my old safe had a key back-up. I m sure if anyhing does go wrong the Safe Shop will help me out.

Shelving could be better. The one shelf supplied is a bit flimsy and falls out when moved forward trying to retrieve items stored on this shelf. The fixing bolts aren't flush at the bottom so its difficult to slide things in/out on the floor of the safe without catching on the bolt heads.

Simple to install and use; large enough for A4 files as well as valuables.

Brilliant safe. Wanted something midsized, fireproof and strong. It’s heavy but can be lifted by an average chap. Best purchase so far this year. Worth for the peace of mind alone. This is no thin walled closet safe, it’s a proper thick walled safe for the home. Recommended. C

excellent product

This is good looking, functional and spacious safe. It replaced an old key and combination safe which although secure, was a real pain to use as no-one could remember the combination so it was written down somewhere in the house. This is much better, as you can set your own numbers and it is so much quicker to use.

Arrived quickly, slight hitch when first setting up but called helpline and was sorted immediately.

I have used the safe for 3 months now and I cannot fault it. It is well built and has plenty of storage.

The keypad is easy to use and the Instructions are clear. The slide our drawer is handy but this can be re moved. I haven't needed to adjust shelve but it looks as if it is easy to do.

I am very pleased with it. I have even had to use the recovery mode when the batteries fell out of the casing which is a great feature. I had to remember whichor safe place I had put the instructions

Excellent quality safe with the capacity I wanted. Basically I needed a safe that would easily fit important A4 documents and other items of value. Delivery was very fast and very well packaged so there was no chance of damage during transit. It was very easy to fit to the floor but I did later swap out the raw plug and screws that came supplied with the safe to a 14mm Anchor bolt. I did this because it did not feel fully secure with the supplied fittings.The set-up and operation of the controls is also very easy. I would definitely recommend this safe.

Initially we forgot our password and Yale were really helpful in getting us sorted out. Two men turned up the next day and the matter was over. We had been very stressed with the passports that were needed locked away in the safe.

Now that we have both got used to it it is a breeze to use and holds everything we need to keep safe in one place. All in all it has been a very good purchase.

happy with the safe easy to fit (anchor down ) fitted it in about hour ,from the weight of it is well made and safe (excuse the pun ) the only thing that I was not happy with was the batteries supplied withit as they ran out within 2 months (of not constant use )so have now fitted duracell ,at the price that I paid plus the quality of the safe itself I thought this let it down for the small price of some good quality batteries .that being said I now have peace of mind for my cash and documents .

The security functions if someone trys too many time to input the incorrect code, the ability to have more than one code, the keypad only illuminates when in use thus conserving the battery.

Ample storage space for a home safe with handy tray for keys/ loose items. Simple instructions.

Not too sure about the key hooks on the door because if you move the height of the shelf, the door wont shut

Safe was easy to install and use. Much easier using the keypad than carrying about keys all the time. Used for storing A4 documents and does the job nicely.

The safe is a quality piece , size is perfect very easy to use & fits in to a small place, for the size of the safe it holds quite a considerable amount of valuables. I would recommend the safe for a home ideal for a office. For the price of the safe it?s value for money. Iiked them tht much tht I bought another one.

We bought this for storing important documents and it is great. The safe has lots of space and it is easy to program and feels really solid. Normally don't like digital dials with batteries but the face that you can use an external battery if you need to provides comfort that if the battery does die we can still get it open. The Yale name also gives confidence

Safe as houses!!

I purchased this safe to keep valuable documents in on a permanent basis, and as security for certain important items when we are away from home, and it fulfils this need admirably.

Much to my surprise it was relatively easy to fix to our solid concrete floor and by taking my time and measuring carefully the holes were in the right place first time!

Following the instructions to set it up was straightforward, and everything works as it should which makes it easy to operate.

I have only 2 observations (I cannot call them criticisms). The first is that it would be helpful if there were as option to display the code in full (rather than just the individual digits as they are keyed) as it is entered, to avoid mistakes (although the fact that it isn't means that it is more secure if others are around while entering the value). The second is a slight concern as to whether the electronics might just fail (although I have no evidence to suggest that this has ever occurred in such a safe) and then there is no back-up means of operation, potentially leaving valuable documents inaccessible.

Nevertheless I am highly delighted with my purchase to date!.

My score for value for money is based on the price I paid through "Safe" and obviously depends on availability at that price!

Quality product

The safe was delivered in perfect condition, and was well packaged. It is exactly as described..I found the office particularly helpful, to ensure I had selected the correct product for my needs, after I had previously purchased a safe that was too big for the space. I am not very technical but found it relatively easy to set the password and to get it up and running. I am able to store a large quantity of belongings in my safe, including ipads and jewellery boxes. I am very happy with this purchase and would fully recommed both the item and the company to all.

Negatives:

Yes, it can hold A4 documents but if you wanted to put them in the slimmest of folders to keep documents separated then the door will either not close or requires some force to hold shut whilst you lock it.

The safe also arrived with a massive dent and coat chip. This is most likely a seller/distributor issue though.
