A nuisance problem with the electronic locking,as safe intermittantly re-opens automatically approx. 6 seconds after pressing the lock button. This problem can continue over several further attempts before it successfully locks. However, I have found that after opening,if I re-align the locking bolts manually it subsequently locks OK. I have not opened the safe enough times since to prove that I have resolved the problem or whether there is a fundamental electronic fault. Time will tell.

Very good quality. Bolts insufficient for most materials. Bought longer ones instead. Rock solid.

Nice little safe for the amount of money spent. It looks very smart and tidy also, and the lit code panel is handy for when it's low light.

There are 8 holes, 4 for wall, and 4 for the floor, but you only get 4 screw fittings. Would be good to get all 8 for people who wanted to secure to both floor and wall. Also the little "carpet" mat inside is not stuck down and often moves around when you're taking things in and out.

Big enough for home use, yet easy to hide away in a cupboard. Code simple to put in and use. We bought longer screws as the ones that came with it were a bit short.

Easy to install & fits nicely (unobtrusive)in the room. The screws were inadequate for the job, but this is my perception of them. I fitted much larger holding down screws than those supplied

This is an excellent product that carries the "Yale" guarantee of quality. I went for this safe as it provides more than adequate storage for all kinds of documents. Unlike cheaper safes, this carries an insurance rating of £1000. I found the safe easy to mount. The safe comes with a backup key in case the batteries die - just ensure that you hide this key somewhere else! A tip: this is not a fireproof safe but if you need to fireproof your documents, then buy some fireproof bags.

I purchased the small safe in August 2013 after moving into a new house where I felt I needed some security for important items (mostly things of sentimental value). I looked on the internet to see what was available and found The Safe Shop. They had a very comprehensive range of safes, and after much deliberation I chose a small model. I ordered on line and the safe was delivered very quickly and in perfect condition. It was placed in position and fastened with the fittings supplied. My safe has a 4 number code, and although I am in my 80's I had no problem in opening and closing the safe, which is very easy to use. I would recommend this safe and the Safe Shop to anyone.

The safe was very much as described, with reasonable storage capacity offering good value for money.

There was a fault with the first safe we received but I believe it just may have been damaged in transit. The instruction manual provided is not very explicit so worth going online to look for a more extensive one.

The removable shelf allows large items to be stored. The door needs to be held with one hand and locked with the other, may be a small latch or magney could assist this.

The product is excellent and easy to use.

I bought it for my father who forgets where he puts things like cash & bank cards. Its fairly easy to set up & use so now he puts his valuables in the safe & always knows where they are. I did fix it to the floor of a cupboard originally but I noticed it was a little difficult for my parents to get to, I've now put it on a shelf in a wardrobe & bolted it to the brick wall. All in all an good purchase.

This product is very good value for the money, i have found the safe easy to install as well as the storage space for what i needed.

Liked this for where we wanted to put it Recently burgled so needed something we could put in a small space . The insurance company recommended a small safe we went for Yale because it was neat and easy to install ourselves.Being burgled we wanted something not to big that we were able to install ourselves .The digital part we found took longer to learn as we are getting on in years so we mostly use the lock and we both have a key.The service we received from you was very good it did not take long to come and we have reccomended you to friend and family .

My extra Phone call to the staff gave answers to my enquirers in a polite and helpful manner. Guiding me to buying the larger safe once i explained my needs. Delivery was well monitored and arrived on predicted time. Solid construction and with easy fitting to wall. Good flexible storage inside and the concealed back up key hole was very cleverly positioned. I felt confident in using the safe and will order one for each bedroom in my new house. We were not sure about having a safe. but once we surfed the net for ideas, the item was easily ordered using the online system.

The item was despatched and arrived quickly and well packed.

On unpacking, we found all required items intact and the fitting instructions, enclosed, were easy to follow.

On having the required tools available the holes were drilled in the masonry walls and the safe was quickly and easily installed.

The shelf supplied with the item was very handy allowing more smaller items to be inserted without having to stack everything on top of each other. For larger items the shelf could be removed allowing a bigger space.

Safe is easy to use and gives peace of mind when not at home, that our few more valuable items are secure.

Just what we needed good size for our needs

We purchased this Yale Home Safe a few weeks ago and have been very happy with it's performance so far.

The Yale Home Safe is large enough to store away important A4 sized papers plus money, jewellery or other valuables without being cramped. It has a handy shelf which I believe is removable - although we haven't tried to remove it.

The illuminated key pad is simple to use. I do wish it was possible to turn off the key pad bleeps which are fairly loud if you wanted to use the safe discreetly.

All in all this is a good & solid purchase!

From the moment I went visited the Safe Shop website I was impressed by how easy it was to find the product that best suited my requirements. The filtering on the page permitted exacting selection options which was a real bonus. Perhaps the Safe Shop mission statement should be, Delivering Safe Solutions as delivering says more about the service than, "providing".

The "Yale Safe Home" safe arrived very well packaged in a strong cardboard box, which is recyclable, but the bubble wrap less so.

Fixing bolts and accessories were provided for wall or floor installations, but it would be an improvement to provide shelf or cupboard fixings too, especially as the safe is basically a hotel room style product more suited to cupboard shelf fixing. However, the fixing instructions were clear and it was in place in under 20 minutes.

The lock setting instruction were poor and it took me longer to work out how to set the combination than it did to install the safe. It was unclear where the little red button was located which you are required to press to set the numbers. The instruction leaflet had very small print and a low resolution image. Room for improvement here I think.

I eventually set the combination and all is now well.

The build quality is what I would expect at the price paid. The shelf fixing is flimsy but adequate and the mat on the bottom of the safe is very thin.

Overall the Yale Safe Home does the job I wanted it for and you can't ask for more than that.

A solid, low cost product which effectively answers the basic need of having a secure place in the home to store special documents, precious items and cash. Product was exactly as advertised and provides ample internal space relative to external size. Convenient electronic pad with override keys. Not appropriate for storage of very high value items in high break-in risk environments, as probably not difficult to crack open by professionals. Safe door jangles a bit even when shut, giving impression of non-hermetic closure. However good value for money for essential home requirements and prompt and reliable service by safe.co.uk.

Having been burgled the week before and speaking to friends and neighbours we bought this safe. The combination lock means we use it all the time for keys and documents. We have no jewellery left. It is so easy to open and really easy to lock. Highly recommended.
