Perfect safe for storing 2, broken down, shotguns. Very secure and sturdy, with double locks, simple and easy to fit with the necessary anchor bolts being supplied along with the safe. The safe doesn't come with any lining, so in order to protect contents from being stored directly against the metal walls / floor of the safe, so form of lining will be required (cut down carpet tiles worked great for me). Order process was simple and straight-forward, customer service was excellent, and the safe is good value for money. I'd have no hesitation about using Safe.co.uk again in the future.

Pros: A very well-made cabinet. I liked the fact that the correct size of wall anchors was included with the safe. This saved me the time and effort of searching for the right ones in the hardware store. Cons: Installation would be easier if the door could be quickly removed, without compromising security.

Questions & Answers (4)

Are there pre drilled holes in the back for bolting to the bulkhead or just the bottom?
Dave
The JFC Shotgun Cabinet does come with pre drilled holes in the base and at the back of the cabinet. There are 6 holes at the back of the unit and 4 pre drilled holes in the base. The suitable way for mounting is onto a concrete floor or a solid external wall. The bolts are not included but you can purchase a fixing kit as an option.

What size are the fixing holes on the base and back elevation? Does the cabinet need to be fixed at all 10 holes?
Jay, Wembley
The fixing holes are 11mm. We would recommend the unit is fixed using all fixing holes to ensure the cabinet is installed securely.

Is one lock suitable for police approval as find it hard to find the true law on police web site with spec.
Stephen, Aylesbury
Our Gun Cabinets are 100% police approved whether they have one or two locks, this cabinet would be tested to BS7558:92.
