The ERA Wireless Alarm series are a range of smart home security alarms designed to give you ultimate control of your home security. The intuitive wireless system has been designed with DIY in mind ensuring no wiring or running cables in walls or under the carpet and you won't need the services of a qualified electrician.

The alarm components are pre-linked making installation easy to complete on a DIY basis and have a wide 80 metre wireless range (in open field conditions) using a 433MHz frequency, ensuring you can place them practically anywhere.

The ERA Invincible Alarm is a dual network telecommunicating alarm with integrated mobile phone technology and is operated by a touch screen control panel, which incorporates a SIM Card holder and allows communication directly with the control panel. In addition, the alarm system can be operated via a Smartphone App, one of the included remote controls and can be disarmed by one of the RFID Contactless Tags. When the alarm is triggered, a loud siren will sound from the control panel to alert others of an intruder and the system will also alert you via a phone call or a text message.

PIR Motion Detector1 x Pet PIR Motion Detector
The pet friendly sensor activates when larger movement is detected making it ideal for homes with one small pet (less than 20 - 25kg). The detector should be placed in the corner of rooms that are vulnerable to intruders. When the alarm is armed an infrared sensor will detect any larger movement and activate the loud alarm siren.

Door Sensor Contact1 x Door Sensor Contact
When the alarm is armed, if a door or window that is protected by the contact is opened the contact is broken activating the loud external siren. The maximum space between sensor and magnet is 10mm.

Outdoor Siren Box2 x Remote Keyfobs
The keyfob is used to arm or disarm the alarm system without the need for a PIN code and can be used from any room in your home. The keyfob also includes a panic button should you need to sound the alarm in an emergency.

RFID Contactless Tags2 x RFID Contactless Tags
The wireless radio-frequency identification (RFID) Tags will disarm the alarm, without needing a code, by swiping across the control panel. These lightweight tags are also designed to be fitted to your key ring.

Keypad Control Panel1 x Touch Screen Control Panel
The keypad is used to arm or disarm the alarm system via entry of your own unique PIN code. The keypad also integrates a SIM card holder allowing you to listen in and two-way talk via your phone.

Features

Alarm control by SmartPhone
You can access all of the alarm settings and features via the ERA Invincible Alarm App (available for iOS and Android). The system can be activated and deactivated using your SmartPhone.*

ERA Invincible Smartphone App

Pre-linked components
All the wireless components are linked together straight out of the box. There is no technical knowledge or wiring required to install an ERA wireless Home alarm.

GSM telephone connectivity
The alarm system includes a built-in SIM card holder and can store up to five individual telephone numbers and will ring them in an order you choose if the alarm triggered. You can also store five SMS numbers in order to receive text message alerts.

Part arming by zone
The alarm can be set to create two different zones allowing you to arm one or both zones. This can be especially useful if you decide to split the upstairs and downstairs of a property into two zones. While away from the property you would activate both zones and during the night you could activate only the downstairs zone.

* Requirements: This alarm system requires a standard sized SIM Card (Excludes Three network). SmartPhone must be iOS 7.0 and above or Android 4.4 and above.

As a technophobe it was one of the easiest alarm systems to get to work.I constantly check on my phone the 2 cameras are very clear in daylight and night vision I even use it to keep an eye on my Jack Russel Elvis.I have a Recording Studio in a separate outbuilding and this is well covered and I notified on my mobile phone highly recommended

Once you manage to figure out how to set it up it's easy to use. There's no drilling for the sensors so it's easy to install. The siren does need to be drilled and I needed help to put that up. This was the best value alarm system I could find with all the features of the pricier versions. I wouldn't get the cameras as we couldn't get them to work and there are cheaper ones with more features. The people on the other end of the phone were extremely helpful - probably the best customer service I have had in a long time, although you will need to call them as the aren't the best at calling you back - frustrating but not the end of the world. So, to summarise: I would get this alarm again - it's brilliant and now I have peace of mind.

» Ask Question

If I were to purchase the Valiant and the Invincible systems, will the remote key fobs and RFID tags arm and disarm the entire combined system, or does each system have to be armed and disarmed independently?
Matt, Bristol
It is possible to combine the Valiant and the Invincible alarm systems so that they can be controlled via the same tags and fobs. The Valiant alarm system can be used as an accessory pack for use with any of the ERA Wireless Burglar Alarms.

Will the system work without a Sim Card?
kevin jasper, cornwall
Without a SIM card installed, this alarm system would still function but it would not be possible to send notifications to your smartphone.

Do these alarms use any form of signal encryption or data protection. How easy are they to disable with any hacking device as mentioned in the daily mail for the mi-guard.
khushpal Jandoo, Coventry West Midlands
The ERA invincible works on a secure and private 433MHZ radio frequency. However I can also recommend the ERA HomeGuard Smart Alarm Pro - Premium Kit which has anti Tamper technology.

Will the solar powered siren box flash continually during the day? or only when the alarm is activated.
Kay, Coventry
A small LED comfort light will be live 24 hrs a day. The full panel of LED lights will flash if the alarm is activated.

Does this alarm connect to your wifi network and send out alerts over the broadband connection or is it entirely reliant on SIM card data to issue alerts?
Max, London
The ERA Invincible alarm does not connect to your home broadband. Notifications are sent to your phone by text or app notifications using GSM technology. This alarm also connects to a landline telephone for call alerts.

Whats the difference between ERA Miguard and the ERA Invincible alarm system?
Justin Ward, Crawley
The ERA Invincible is the upgraded model from the Mi-Guard series. The main difference is the Mi-Guard was available in two models, WiFi or Telecommunication. The ERA Invincible can do both.

With the ERA Invincible alarm system, do the two parts of the magnetic door contact have to be at the same angle to work? our doors have chamfered frames, therefore the gap would be okay, but the two parts would be at different angles.
Would the vibration sensors be better?
Philip Gunn, Kent
Though the parts of the window sensor do not need to be touching, they do need to be with 2mm of each other and at the same level/angle. It may be worth considering the vibration sensor.

How does this system communicate with the smartphone app? I’m aware it’s through a SIM card but does this use data or do it through text messages?
Dave, Guildford
The App would not use Data to use however any notification alerts would be charged at a standard text rate.

Standard Alarm Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of wireless alarm kits, for the home or business.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree equipment positioning before commencing the installation of your Alarm Kit, including hub, all components (including selected components purchased from Safe.co.uk) and the wireless external siren.

Your installation will include positioning motion sensors in areas to provide the most suitable sensor coverage and locating the external siren in a highly visible location. Final positions will be governed by safe site access and the effect of the building on wireless range, including wall thickness, building materials and location of your Wi-Fi equipment.

You must ensure that adequate power is available for the alarm hub (one power socket) and that easy access is available to your broadband router as this will need to be connected to your alarm hub using an ethernet cable. If your router is not close to where you intend to position the alarm hub we advise purchasing a powerline adaptor prior to install.

The engineer will set up remote monitoring on one device and then carry out a final assessment to confirm that your new system is fully operational before providing a brief demonstration of your system and confirming it has been completed to your satisfaction.

  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:

  • Accidental Damage
The Alarm system is knocked off alignment by high winds or moving objects such as ladders, footballs or people.
  • Malicious Damage
The Alarm system has been physically damaged by vandals or DIY.
  • Materials Failure
Previously Installed equipment (existing) or equipment included in the pre-purchased kit are deemed to be at fault. Faulty equipment such as the alarm hub, sensors, and power supply units are covered by the manufacturer warranty.
  • System Modification
A request that the installed system be modified such as sensors or the external siren be repositioned post installation.
  • Incorrect Diagnosis
The customers web portal, broadband connectivity or Mobile App are identified as being at fault or incorrectly operated by the user when trying to access the system. This includes user error and any form of software / firmware upgrades post installation.
