Can this sensor be configured to ignore a small pet: say a cat?

If not, are there other pet friendly sensors that can replace this one in a smartvest package?

There are no Pet Friendly sensors for this system that can be added or configured. We do offer systems by Yale such as the Yale Smart Home Alarm Kit - SR-320 to which pet friendly sensors can be added or a system by ERA like the ERA Invincible - Wireless SmartPhone Alarm that have pet friendly PIRs as standard should you wish to consider these.
