If you are like me and called the local window fitters about changing the look on your door and was amazed at the quote. Couple of reasons for this, one is that just changing a look is simple for a large company and in some cases just over price as not worried if the job comes to them or note. Two, the lock is note described in a clear way and most company’s use a set of standard locks and in some cases this does not mean these are the best. As there had been some lock snapping burglaries in our neighbourhood recently, I decided to replace my fro t door euro lock with a three star rated version. The local diy stores didnt stock the size I required so after some googling, I found www.safe.co.uk who had the lock in stock and offered next day delivery. Also the price was better than other suppliers I looked at. It's important to measure accurately the existing lock as they do come in various sizes. This can be done with the lock in situ or the lock can easily be removed simply by removing a single fixing screw. The lock arrived next day as expected, landing with a heavy thud behind letter box. Fitting couldn't be easier. Just remove one fixing screw, slide the old lock out, replace with new one, making sure it's the right way round. Replacing the fixing screw completes the job. The lock is supplied with three keys. I tested all three and they operated and closed the lock perfectly. Once fitted, the 'three star' icon is visible on the outside, which should deter burglars as they know they will be unable to snap the lock to gain entry. I would definitely recommend this lock.

Door locks are the primary deterrent and we had basic locks. To replace them we were quoted about £80+ per lock, fitted.

After lengthy research, we learnt how easy it was to break into a door with a lock that wasn't TS007 3* rated and it made us feel very vulnerable.

To remove your old lock and replace it with a new TS003 3* rated lock takes a few minutes. Any diyer with limited experience should find it easy to do and a simple search online will get you a video on how to do it.

The Asec kite elite euro double cylinder 50-40 (90mm) is a very well made cylinder lock.Itis snap proof and drill proof, criminals would find it extremely difficult if not impossible to get passed this lock. It was extremely easy to fit, just one screw.I now have all my doors fitted with these cylinders and I feel very much safer . The cylinder is made of very strong metal (steel) and is nickel plated to prevent rust I suppose. I can recommend this lock as it is great value for money and is also a top of the range security feature which is so easy to fit but so hard to break.

Excellent product - appears to be well built and gives peace of mind having this type of lock fitted.
