I am ordering two cylinders. Will they come with three keys in total or 6? Will they have the same keys applying to both locks?

If you are ordering keyed alike cylinders you will only receive 3 keys in total for the number of cylinders you order. If you would like all of the cylinders to work using the one key, you will need to select the keyed alike option.

I've already installed ATK 3* locks on another door. If I order the ABS 3* can they be made to open with my existing keys?

Are the thumbturns on these locks the updated 'Quantum' thumbturn?

With the abs cylinder locks with inside turn knob where the key hole should be, when turned to lock can this be unlocked by inserting key on outside and unlocking or will it not turn and stay locked?

Once locked via the thumbturn internally it can be unlocked on the outside by using the key.

Theses are good locks, but the measurements are a bit hit and miss. While they are flush inside, they aren’t outside and there’s no guidance other than measure to the outside of the handle plates, which I did. So either be prepared to send them back to get the correct size, or add 5mm either side

Fitting the locks is very simple and straightforward with only basic tools. They look good in the door and having KeyAlike is a great feature to have. Buying spare keys at the point of sale is cheap and worthwhile, especially if you have teenagers in the house! One last thing, the mechanism needed lubrication and then the keys had a nice feel when locking and unlocking.

These cylinders are very secure, the key is robust (could ever imagine it snapping), and the thumbturn action silky smooth.

Easy to measure, ordering from Safe was great, and simple to install.

They're expensive but worth it.

The product was purchased as we had recently moved house and wanted to both synchronise and renew the locks. The thumbturn is easy to install by use of a simple bolt through the locking plate and to use, as the same key now opens both our Porch and inside Porch doors, there is no using the wrong key.

The locks were ordered ‘keyed alike’ as a replacement for the (double) porch front doors after moving into a new house. They installed easily as expected. The thumb-turns are particularly useful. When unlocking from inside, all you do is turn it - so it can be done one-handed. When locking from the inside, you need to raise the door handle while rotating the thumb-turn in the opposite direction. A key-code card is provided for spares - 3 keys are supplied as standard. Locking and unlocking from the outside is a really smooth action, both with inserting the key and rotating it unlike a lot of other brands. I will buy this product again when necessary.

Although a bit pricey, it does give the peace of mind to have the highest level of safety protection. Quite easy to install and operate. We managed to replace a handful of cylinders in under an hour. The availability of tailor made keyed alike options is well worth having. The delivery was quite swift too.

The Avocet ABS 3 Star - Euro Double Cylinder 50 - 50 (100mm Polished Chrome) is a great lock that looks good and is easy to fit. It feels solid and I like that we could get it keyed alike with other locks in our house. It was easy to order and arrived quickly.

These are great locks, they were very easy to install. Just undid one screw from the old lock and fitted these new ones. First time I've had to change a locks but very simple.

Trivial to install, key matching is a must, as is a thumbturn on front door for fire safety. Superb build quality and the security level of this is one of the highest, just watch the LockPickingLawyer video on this range of locks.

An extremely well made and good looking lock which meets, and probably exceeds, the standards required by insurance companies. I live by the coast in a very exposed west facing location but I’m confident that the high quality plating applied to the lock will endure the harsh salty conditions we endure throughout autumn and winter.

It’s very easy to fit and the lock and associated key have a very positive feel in operation. I specified several different sized locks using the same key and everything fits and works perfectly. I’ve absolutely no hesitation recommending them.
