Can this be mounted to the back of a door behind a post slot so that the mail can delivered safely into the box.
Jo
This post box is perfect for fitting behind a door providing you remove the letter flap. The flap should clip out and you will need to drill holes for fixing to your door, but it will do the job very well.

Exactly how is the letter box fixed to the railings please?
Ann, London
This post box is supplied with fixing screws to fix to a wooden gate or fence. Fixing to railings is more complicated and requires some DIY. You will need to have something to anchor the post box from the other side of the railings, such as a piece of timber or metal plate. You will also need to ensure that that there is a horizontal space for the letter slot.

We have railings to which we want to fix this box. How does it affix if the back opens up, ie. where do you fix it to the railings?
Anonymous
As there can be various types and styles of railings and fencing there is no set method for how this post box can be attached, each individual user will have their own way of affixing the unit. The deposit aperture however will need to be either visible above the fence line or aligned with an existing slot on your railings or fence to allow items of post to be deposited. Please note aligning the aperture with an existing slot may prove difficult due to the flap that covers the deposit slot.
