If this safe is in a fire, although the contents will be safe, presumably the electronic key pad will be destroyed. Obviously without details, how does one then retrieve the contents?
David Gee, Winchester
The safe would have to be forced open to retrieve any valuables. This could be done by a qualified locksmith who would have the required equipment.

Chubbsafe executive range said there is a master code to prevent lock out, is this unique to each safe or can you call Chubbsafe and they give you one on the phone that works on all the safes?
Anonymous
In addition to the regular PIN code that you set when first receiving the safe this model includes a factory set mastercode which you can chnage to your own unique mastercode.
