This is a good home product. I would certainly recommend it. It fits neatly into a small space in a cupboard.

The only improvement I would suggest is to review the set-up instructions. The instructions are far too complex and could be simplified. As the product is new when you set it up, I felt some nervousness that I would make a mess of setting it up and then not be able to open the safe. Once you get used to it, it's easy to use. However, this makes me unlikely to re-set the code which is clearly against the principles of security. Given that the cost of the product is quite reasonable, these devices could easily be built in as standard in new houses.

The safe itself and the door and solidly built and I would have no hesitation trusting its security rating. The lock itself, however, is a little difficult to operate and feels flimsy - not in keeping with the rest of the safe. After you have keyed in the code you have three seconds to turn the handle to unlock the safe. However, you generally have to jiggle the handle before it will turn enough to unlock the door. This sometimes takes more than three seconds and you have to do the whole process again. This jiggling is what feels flimsy - it's as if the lock itself was an afterthought rather than an integral element of the safe design. But hey, it works. However things go really downhill when you try to fix the safe to anything. The screws and fixings that were supplied were virtually useless and needed to be replaced with far more substantial fixings in order to fix the safe to the wall. They were literally cheap rubbish and completely undermined the high build quality of the safe itself. I was able to easily detach the safe from the wall using both hands after using the supplied fixings. Would I recommend this product. Yes, I would as long as the buyer was able to try the unlock operation for themselves and have the wherewithall to replace the fixings.

I actually really like the product . Firstly the buying process was very good . Buying a safe is an important step and in my instance it is safeguarding very important things for me. So the level of understanding my needs was important and understanding that i dont know much about safes and more importantly how they are rated , i.e. For cash and valuables. So when i ordered I felt comfortable that I was buying the right product and that it would meet my needs now and into the future .

Like most people my life is busy so it was important to me that the safe was easy to install and easy to set up , and it was . I particularly like the 6 digit security code , it makes me feel it is more secure . And I like that I put in two codes , one for me and one for my son ...just in case something bad happened ...Could it be better ?? Well an observation would be the door could be on the larger side rather the narrow end ..that way it would clearly be easier to get in and out and there could be two shelves rather than one . I guess that is a personal preference , but I would certainly prefer that as I use it for documents , small valuables and cash .

other than that , yes an excellent product

James

Looks very secure and should deter any thief from even trying to get into it.The storage capacity is adequate for our needs. More importantly the safe carries the security rating demanded by the insurance company to allow us the cover we require. Another American company would not even rate their own products which we thought a bit strange. Having worked in banking I know the Chubb name very well and am prepared to trust it to deliver the right product.Fitting the required screws in place took a bit of time from a contractor but was acheived eventually and the safe would require a great deal of effort to remove!

I decided to buy a safe when I thought we’d lost jewellery following the lock down. Like many people we hid various items around the house in un-obvious places but had forgotten where we had put them. The obvious remedy, after eventually finding them, was to keep them in a safe. The choices we not easy however; many of the compact safes were incapable of being securely mounted in the house and we’re not secure and / or insurance company approved. The Chubb Zita 15E ticks all the boxes and since installation all the family jewellery and other valuables are stored there. The only problem is that storage @ 190 x 280 x 250mm is tight when you realise how much you want to put in there. The easy keypad entry system means that we now also store the electronic car keys safe in the knowledge the signals cannot be accessed by would be car thieves.

Well, the product is perfect as far as I am concerned, its exactly what I needed and expected. However I'm not sure it was marketed very well and the instructions for changing the pass codes aren't good at all. I'm not going to bore you with that because I worked it out, eventually !

I think from a marketing point of view, when you say it can be floor mounted or wall mounted it isn't obvious that if you opt for the wall mount it still needs to be on the floor to do it. I needed, ideally, a safe mounted on the wall about 5ft high but this little safe was much too heavy to achieve this. Anyway, I got around the problem another way.
