Can I ask what the difference is between the D100 and D410 Decayeux post boxes please?
Nick, Bristol
The main difference between these two boxes is the letter slot. The D100 has a conventional flap to cover the deposit aperture. The D410 has a series of high grade plastic safety flaps running across the deposit aperture to help prevent post being removed from the box via the letter slot.

Can this box be fixed to metal railings?
Craig Swallow, Sheffield
Unfortunately this post box isn't suitable for fixing to railings. There are holes in the back with fixing screws designed for fixing to brick. We do however sell a Black Railings Post Box which is specially made for fixing to railings.

There is no specific height recommendation for the installation, this will be personal preference to you for ease of access.

Could the Decayeux 100 outdoor postbox be mounted on a post 15 cm wide? If not which boxes would be suitable for affixing to a post?
Susan Crooks, High Wycombe
This post box could be mounted on a post. It may require some customisation in terms of the position of the fixing holes.
