Can you tell me please the type of overide key used on this product , is it a flat yale key type or is it as I hope a round (er barrel type) as we have on our Phoenix 90kg safe.
Mr D E Braybrook, Northampton
The override key is the round type, known as a tubular key.
Our Phoenix key safe is out of battery and we have a key for a safe in side the safe that we can't open as its out of battery, how can get it open? is there anything I can do?
Egle, Belfast
Unfortunately in this instance the backup key is the only way to gain entry, you may have to consider a locksmith to force the unit open.
What is the internal clearance between the closed door and the key hooks?
Is it big enough to for bulky car keys with immobiliser units?
David, London
Unfortunately there would only be a depth of 10mm between the key hooks and back locking plate which would be unsuitable for bulky car keys. However I can recommend the Securikey Automotive Manager 24.
Is this key cabinet suitable as a vehicle rental key cabinet (your classification) or, as one of the answers given for this product states, it isn't suitable for car keys with immobiliser units ?
William Gibbs, CAMBRIDGE
Suitability will be dependent on the quantity of keys stored and the size of the fob. For keys with larger fobs it may be worth considering a larger capacity cabinet to allow spacing between keys.
