How does the app arm/disarm the alarm. Does it do it by sending message to SIM card?

Your smart phones sim would be connected to the sim in your alarm system meaning they can transfer information to one another.

Does the system need a mains connection. We are looking for a system for a stable block without any mains supply.

Can the default access code be changed via the keypad from 1234 without a SIM card installed? If not then can it all be installed set up and working and a SIM card fitted at a later date?

The system to does not require a SIM card to function. The purpose of the SIM is for the notifications to your phone. You can set and re-set you access code as often as required via the keypad.

Does this system have any signal jamming protection? eg. denial-of-service jammers?

How would I know which sim to buy for this product? Would it just be any standard sim from O2 or EE? What sort of air plan would you need just calls only for a very low price per month? Or is there a minimum air time usage you would need for this?

Any pay as you go sim would be fine (excluding the network Three) dependant on if you wanted to be contacted by a call or text, the data plan and network would be your choice.

Is all you need a mobile to operate this system? I do not have wireless in my apartment but have a smart phone.

No internet is required. The ERA Garrison uses a sim card to contact you via your smartphone by text, when the alarm is triggered.

I have a flat on the ground floor. Many examples of similar flats being robbed by smashing glass door from the garden. If I get this alarm and vibration sensors, is there a way to set it up in the way that it triggers alarm if these sensors are triggered, even while we're at home?

The Vibration sensor once disturbed would trigger the alarm when activated. Whilst at home, it is possible to set 2 separate zones. It would be an ideal solution if you separate the vibration sensors to a different zone, leaving other sensors inactive.

Does this system allow for existing wired PIRs to be used? If not, do you recommend an alternative wired/wireless system?

Unfortunately our Alarm Systems are all wireless and are not suitable to be wired as they work on their own secure frequency. They are also not compatible to work with other brands.

Is it necessary to add a SIM card or can I just rely on receiving alerts from alarm via the app?

The ERA Garrison does need a SIM card so that notifications can be sent via text. A notification will not be sent to the APP as this alarm cannot be connected to the internet.
