Could you be more specific, please, about what information is displayed on the LED vs LCD control panels? (I'm surprised by the price difference between the Vault Pro and the Invincible Pro.
SLG, Oxford
The Invincible would give you full information and status displays via the LCD screen. However the invincible can also contact you through landline and sim which would justify the price difference.
Do these alarms use any form of signal encryption or data protection. How easy are they to disable with any hacking device as mentioned in the daily mail for the mi-guard.
khushpal Jandoo, Coventry West Midlands
The ERA invincible works on a secure and private 433MHZ radio frequency. However I can also recommend the ERA HomeGuard Smart Alarm Pro - Premium Kit which has anti Tamper technology.
Can this alarm be remotely controlled through the app?, does it connects to the WiFi or the router?
David, London
This system can be operated through the App providing you have a data enabled Sim Card fitted. It does not require connection to the internet via a router or wi-if.
When it says complete control via android app? What can you do via the app and how does it work? Does it use money from the SIM card?
Zahid Rasul, Hainault, Ilford
The app allows use to to use and control the alarm via your smartphone, for example, activating and de-activating the system. You will also receive alarm notifications through to your mobile. The notifications are sent as a text message so you will require credit on the SIM being used.
We want to alarm our garage - are there suitable PIR sensors to do this available - I've been told a dual sensor one is best also does the RFID keypad include an internal siren or does this need to be added separately?
Dave, Guilford
The ERA PIR's which work on a duel sensor would be suitable as long as the garage is within 80 metres frequency range of the hub. The RFID keypad does not include an internal siren however the actual hub has one built in which would siren when any component is activated.
How reliable is the pet friendly sensor? I've read reviews that the Yale one sometimes doesn't recognise humans as it it isn't sensitive enough?
Jas, Reigate
The Pet Friendly PIR sensors on this system and the Yale smart alarms are reliable. You must ensure that the sensors are positioned at the correct height and angle so that movement is detected within the sensors field of view.
I only want an SMS if the alarm is activated by an intruder. At the moment we get a message every time we leave and return to the house. Is that possible?
john powell, maidstone
The system will allow you to control or set which notifications you receive in the settings menu.
On ERA Invincible is the remote keypad mains or battery powered?
Bill chapman, Cwmbran
The main control panel is mains powered but comes with a battery back up in case of power failure. Additional battery powered ERA Wireless Touch RFID Keypad's can be purchased and added to this system if needed.
My wall for the solar powered external alarm is north facing, so not likely to get a huge amount of sun even on a good day. How long will the internal battery last without sun?
Ben, London
The rechargeable battery will last between 4-8 hours once fully charged.
How do you set the telephone numbers, and does the system text all numbers if the alarm goes off, or just one of them?
Roopa, Bristol
Telephone numbers can be programmed through the control panel. Once the alarm is activated the system will contact each person saved as an emergency contact in sequence.
The ERA Invincible Smartphone Alarm does not use mobile data to alert you, it would call or text so a standard sim card would be fine. However I would recommend the ERA HomeGuard Smart Alarm Pro - Junior Kit if you are looking for a WiFi enabled smart alarm system.
