The HUB for this system can be connected either via a wireless WiFi connection or a wired connection from the Ethernet cable to the router.

The ERA Wireless Touch RFID Keypad is compatible with the AW1 alarm system, and can be used to arm/disarm the alarm using a 4 digit PIN code or the ERA RFID Tag (Twin Pack).

You could add the ERA Solar Powered Siren to the system as an additional component.

The alarm would still function, however without any internet connection it is unable to send you a notification.

Unfortunately it would not notify you if the WiFi is down. However I can recommend the ERA HomeGuard Smart Alarm Pro - Junior Kit which has an optional sim card feature which can call or text.

The components for the ERA systems will work on all versions of the ERA alarm systems.

The ERA AW1 is not sim card compatible and would connect via WiFi.

This system is not compatible with Alexa. You may want to take a look at the ERA HomeGuard Smart Alarm Pro - Junior Kit as this kit is compatible with Alexa.

You can arm and disarm using the remote key fobs supplied. You can also purchase a keypad if needed, available in the accessories.

The PIR motion detectors would be suitable with a cat and a small dog. The alarm wouldn't be activated unless they detect movement of something bigger than 25kg.
