Product Details

Phoenix The Phoenix Dione SS0302e is a laptop hotel security safe that is ideal for securing laptop computers and valuables from theft. The safe comes with a recommended insurance rating of £1,000 cash or £10,000 valuables and is secured by an electronic combination keypad, with guest programmable pin code. The back and base of the safe are ready prepared for floor or wall installation and a DIY fixing kit is included to secure the safe. This model is also available in 3 other sizes.

The application for this security product was in a canal narrow boat and so one important consideration was size. Also, one of the main items to be placed in the safe is a laptop computer, especially at times when we are not actually on board. Ours fits well, although it does need to be the first item put in and then other things can be placed on top. The setting up instructions were satisfactory (in the end) but could do with being a bit improved, especially to make it clear that the main method of use is intended to be via the keypad rather than the key. So far we have found it a good product.

Ive had a Pheonix electronic safe since 2001 and its been used at least 3 times a day, Its only recently that it started to error on closing so it was time for a new one. I decided on a Pheonix Model again as i was very happy with the old one. I ordered the Pheonix Deone as its the model that you see in most hotels, so must be pretty robust. Safe.co.uk delivered it via DPD parcels when they said they would. Unfortunately, the overide keys had become damaged during transit. I called Safe.co.uk and spoke to a lady who was very helpful and said they would get new overide keys cut and sent out. Unfortunately she call me back a few minutes later to say that as they was special keys, they couldnt replace them, so i would need to return the safe and they would replace it with a new one. She arranged for the safe to be collected by DPD and a guy turned up when they said he would. The new safe was delivered a few days afterwards, again by DPD when they said they would. The lady called to check that i was happy and that all was ok. I tested the safe and it works fine so i installed it. It needed a 10mm Masonary drill bit, which luckily i already had, and it was installed within 30 minutes. It works great and the little light that comes on for 20 seconds when the door opens is very useful.

The only downside i would say is that the numbered digits on the keypad are difficult to see, they need to be bigger and a bright colour so that they stand out easily.

Standard Safe <25kg Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

Non-standard Installation

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
  • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:
