I would definitely not purchase this safe again. It’s well made and has a smooth open/close system, the inside capacity is perfect for our needs. The biggest disappointment is the fingerprint scan which ultimately is the reason why the price difference is so great compared with the basic model. The scanner is unresponsive and unreliable most of the times. I purchased it for the ability to store fingerprints and then delete them easily which would have been the ideal for us when other people are staying in the house so the mastercode would never be shared. The scanner Sometimes works but more often doesn’t. Sometimes it recods a fingerprint but afterwards you cannot open the safe even with 20 attempts. This is frustrating for everyone and means we often have to share the master code to unlock the safe. This defeats the purpose for which I have bought and paid more for a fingerprint scanner.
