What happens when the batteries on the electronic lock die? I am assuming it does not mean lock is subsequently unopenable?
Mike
If the batteries run flat on this model the lock would be inactive and the safe would not open. The batteries can be changed via the keypad on the outside of the safe. Once changed the safe can be opened with the current PIN code.

The safe has an overriding mastercode. How many digits is this? Is this a weak link in the security?
Graeme Franklin, Gorleston
This safe comes with two user codes (user code 1 and user code 2) they are both between 4-16 digits in length. These can be changed at any time. This should not present a security risk as the combinations run into the millions and providing the codes are kept private and are not obvious like repeat numbers or birthdays there is next to no risk. Please also note three failed pin attempts will cause the safe to enter paralysis mode. This will last until a correct code is entered twice in quick succession.
