On the DVR-4980 5MP system which I have just installed, can you connect to one tv with the HDMI cable and then connect to a second tv with a VGA cable and get pictures on both tvs. In the set up if you select for it to set for 1080p screen does it record at this quality or would the cameras and DVR still record at 5MP quality.
Derrick Wales, Ipswich
I would only advise connecting the DVR to one TV via the HDMI cable for best results. Also the cameras can record at various resolutions I would suggest using the highest quality settings which the DVR can record at to ensure the best resolution.

Can it be programmed to automatically save snap shots to Dropbox if movement is detected, or can it only be done manually?
moses Ayegun, Salford
Saving data to a drop box account is done manually. When set to motion detection, the data will be stored on the DVR automatically when the camera is triggered, and you can then save this to a drop box account if needed.

When a camera detects motion does the system send a message to your phone every time motion is detected? Or can motion detection be programmed in some way? I live in a busy area, and I don’t really want to be receiving texts every couple of minutes when someone walks passed my house.
David Hamlett, Warrington
If set to motion detection, the system will send a notification when ever the camera detects movement in its field of view. The angle the camera is directed will determine how much movement it will detect.

What is the maximum height the cameras can be installed?
John oakton, scunthorpe
Cameras can be installed at any height, providing the BNC cables can be traced back to the DVR. The range of the cameras will also need to be taken into account when installing at high levels.
