We want an outdoor key safe for our hostel in the Lake District. We want one where the whole combination can be changed from time to time. Which would you recommend?
Steve Lupton, Manchester
This unit is designed for internal use, as with all the electronic key cabinets we supply, if exposed to the elements the electronic keypad and key lock on this unit may not function properly. Depending on the quantity of keys you are looking to store I would suggest looking at the Holiday Home Key Boxes range, as these are designed for external use and are available with mechanical combination locks that can be changed at your discretion. If you would like to discuss possible units that may be suitable for your requirements please contact our sales office on 0800 432 0722.

Is there an indicator when the batteries are low? I want to use this in an office and don't want people to suddenly find themselves locked out.
Paul
The indicator is a Steady red light showing on the control panel when the batteries are low. This also comes with a back up key just in case you fail to gain access.

Are you able to send me the re-set instructions please? We bought this cabinet last year and one of my staff has managed to upset it!! I have the back up key but cannot find the instruction to reset to code.
Lani Heuer, Ipswich
For instructions on how to change the PIN code, please refer to the KeyStar Key Cabinet User Guide.

Is the key cabinet deep enough to hold car keys?
Sarah, Southampton
Yes, however this depends on the thickness of your keys. The key cabinet depth is deep enough to accommodate most car keys.
