We had just moved to a new property on a retirement complex and needed some form of item to use outside of our home to collect the mail that is delivered on site. The item we bought was easily fixed to the outside fence and as it is lockable it provided us with much more security. We have just been away on holiday and our mail has been delivered as normal. There was no build up of mail inside the property to show that the property was not occupied at the time which is a good thing and the cap...

My purchase was based not only on previous reviews, but essentially its appearance was a priority. In some ways this post box suffers from style over substance, which is a shame because it looks good with its slim body and curved lines. However, the construction material is a bit lightweight, yet so far (approx six months old), the contents have remained dry despite some very inclement weather. the black finish, to match the front door, was also an important factor, and so far, there is no eviden...

The Tweed Black - Steel Post Box exceeded all expextations. It was delivered promptly and safely to my designated place (not my post box as I didn't have one!) and installation was easy enough. The build quality and design are phenomenal. It looks elegant and has masses of storage space. I have already recommended it to a number of friends and family members. I would not hesitate to purchase another one but have a strong feeling that this won't be necessary as it appears that this one will last!...

This looks nice but the metal is flimsy and can be bent by hand. Also its possible to reach in through the flap and take A4 mail without the key. Doesn't do the required job of keeping your mail safe. And its not cheap.

I looked around for ages for a post box that was different to the norm and came across this one. I had to wait over three months for delivery but it was worth it. It looks really swish.

It's fairly well built and looks weather resistant, but I have yet to go through a British winter.

It was a bit awkward to screw to the wall due to the placement of the holes and we did scratch it slightly doing so.

It looks great, slightly bigger than expected, but it has a very large capacity, easily fits n...

Standard Post Box Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of Post Boxes.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your post box.

Your installation will include fixing the post box to an exterior wall using the fixings included with your post box. The fixings are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete.

The position of your post box will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes or cables within the wall.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the post box is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your post box and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

Non-standard Installation

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

£55.00 Surcharge Areas

  • PH 1 - 26 (No coverage in other PH postcodes)
  • PA 1 - 19 (No coverage in other PA postcodes)
  • KA 19, 26

  • AB
  • DD

  • DG

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Questions & Answers (1)

Is this waterproof ? My current post box is letting rainwater in.
Liz Shaw, Elgin
This post box is listed as weather and rust resistant however it is not fully water or rust proof and this is true of any post box. The degree of weather or rust resistance is dependent on how exposed the post box is to the elements. As the post boxes have deposit apertures and moving parts there is a chance that water may ingress via these points if they are overly exposed.
