The lock was delivered promptly with excellent packing. The instructions were both clear and comprehensive and the template was set up accurately. I photocopied the actual template so that I didn’t cut up the original and drilled out the holes accordingly. One slight modification was that I did the mortise holes slightly closer together so that I could create the hole for the lock to go into using a normal chisel (I don’t have mortise chisels). This worked a treat and the lock went in first time. The only problem I had was with the hole and striking plate on the door post. This required slight adjustment for the lock to operate smoothly. Overall this was a really good buy and much easier than I anticipated.
