I was delighted to find a lock to replace my existing one. It was the exact size I needed and it made the task of replacing the old broken one extremely easy.

I bought the union 2277 to replace an existing lock, and ideally I wanted to fit replacement without modifying the existing door. Safe with us have such a wide assortment of sash locks to choose from, each with a detailed description of its exact dimensions that it was fairly straightforward to find a replacement that would fit the existing hole. The price for the lock was very good and speed of delivery excellent. The fitting of the lock itself was very straightforward, as I had measured carefully the existing lock and matched it up, it was just a case of removing the old and putting the new straight in with out modifying the door. Easy enough for a non-tradesperson like me to fit. Just needed to get the multi-tool out to make sure it all fit nicely so minimal carpentry skills required! If I can fit one, I'd think just about everyone could as my diy skills are...ummm...negligible. It's on an internal door so didn't want or need a 5 lever. Nice smooth action to the one it replaced which is what you'd expect from a Union lock. It's only been on a couple of months but so far so good. No complaints so far with the lock. The service from safe.co.uk was good too, so no complaints there either.
