I can't fault the product in that materials were excellent and build quality excellent.

Easy to fit and effective. I recently lost my keys and the locksmith took two hours trying to open it before having to resort to cutting through the wooden frame around the lock to get the door open. He had only managed to scratch the paint.

I liked the fact that you stocked this lock in a very wide range of sizes. I could not have purchased this size lock from any of the large DIY stores. The lock is fully certified to meet current insurance requirements, and is drill resistant from both sides. All parts of the lock are of sturdy construction.

The lock replacement took longer than expected, as the lock cavity in the door had to be widened slightly. Sharp chisel required.

The lock operation was a little rough, so I dismantled the lock and applied a small quantity of copperease grease. It now works a treat.

The long throw of the lock also works well.

This lock was purchased to replace an existing lock for which the keys were getting difficult to turn. I wanted to minimise the carpentry required to fit a new lock and this lock was perfect. It took me about 15 minutes of chiselling to ensure the lock could be inserted and align with the strike plate on the door jam. I have a solid wood front door and have always used the mortice lock, as well as the Yale latch, when leaving the house. Being a five lever lock provides that extra peace of mind. Highly recommended and meets the requirements of most home insurers.

I bought this lock as a replacement for an earlier model. Instead of buying an exact replacement the 3G114E was suggested as it is a slight improvement in security over the earlier one that is still available. I think this one is more approved by insurance companies etc. It is fine but it is slightly wider than the older one and the keep is a little deeper. This simply means that when you fit it you must allow the time and have the necessary tools to modify the lock opening and keep depth to fit the newer model. When fitted it is very smooth and the mechanism has a quality feel you notice every time you use the key.

I found the tele sales person very helpful in identifying my own, fitted lock and comparing it to the 3G114E. I liked the ease of purchase of a product I knew to be suitable (as my insurance company had requested it), which arrived exactly when I was told it would. The price was better than other websites I viewed and delivery was free. The website was nicely laid out with clear text, with the option of an enquiry service.

The fitter found it quite difficult to cut a suitable recess for the locks' insertion, which is why I have not given it 5 stars but that may have been due to the door being made of Oak and him not having a full tool kit.
