In 2012 we purchased a house built about 1985. Unfortunately the previous owners had not maintained the place very well. The original front door is of a good quality solid wood so we did not wish to change it. The original lock however was worn and the keys kept jamming. We were able to find the exact same lock brand new on your site thus avoiding having to cut into the door to fit a different sized/new design new lock.

Just what I needed

A good product, which it was very difficult to find elsewhere. The 5 lever lock is a good security mechanism which I use on my back door. We also have one on the kitchen door which will require changing in the not distant future and I shall use this company again.

Well made lock that was a replacement for a Chubb that had been original fitting. The lock just slotted into place as it should being same basic size .

Very good quality, I bought it as a replacement, almost identical to the original one, so it was a case of take out the old, and slip in the new, easee peasee as they say, plus it was very handy being able to buy an extra key.

I was very pleased that he lock appeared to be identical to the one that I fitted 30 years ago and hence was an easy replacement. However I then found that the latch jammed in the withdrawn position and the only way to keep the door closed was to lock it. I did not want to wait for a replacement so I took it apart and used a file and oil to enable the latch to pop out again. I should not have had to do this - poor quality control.

My very old front-door lock started to fail, and I needed a drop-in replacement. I eventually tracked down the lock type, and Safe had it at the best price, so I ordered it. It slotted straight in, and works exactly as I expected (but much more smoothly than the original ever did!) My only reservation was the price of the additional keys, so I had those made at a High Street store instead.
