Can the Easy Fit Door Contact be used in a sash window? How would it be installed?
Helena, London
The door contacts can be fitted to this type of window providing they can be installed so that both elements are in contact so that if the magnetic field is broken the alarm triggers.

In the installation instructions it says that the magnet should be on the door and the sensor on the frame. We don’t have room on the frame to fit the sensor, we would have to do it the other way around. Will this matter?
Tierney, Sheffield
As long as both are flush when the door is closed you can have the sensor or magnet on either the door or frame.

The Door contacts should be fine on sliding doors however both magnets must be fully connected when the door is shut.

Can the contact be set up on a front door to chime/beep when opened, when alarm is not armed?
Adam, Derby
Unfortunately the door contact would not be able to chime or beep. If would just notify the control hub when the alarm is activated.

Do you have a sensor that would be fitted to a window that opens outward but wouldn't need a contact for it to work?
Liz, Coventry
The window sensors always require 2 parts for them to work, as there is magnetic field between them.

Yes, the Easy Fit Door Contacts are suitable for bathroom use and can withstand slight humid conditions. However I would always make sure that the bathroom is well ventilated.
