This safe is not tested for water resistance and is therefore not listed as waterproof.

The safe has a one year warranty during which time, in the event of any problems you would contact us and we would get this resolved for you.

Once your warranty period has expired and you had a problem then you would contact Yale's Customer Support line, who will try to identify the problem and resolve the issue over the phone where possible.

If this is not possible and the safe is deemed faulty and beyond repair you would need a locksmith to gain entry so that you can remove your possessions.

This safe has 4 key hooks located on the back of the door.

Unfortunately we do not offer installation with this safe. However we do offer these 60 minute fire rated safes which do have Installation listed as a delivery option.

This model can only be fixed to the floor as holes in the rear of the safe would compromise the 60 minute fire protection. We do offer safes that can be fixed to the wall but they have a lower fire rating of only 30 minutes.

We always recommend that a safe is bolted down as this is more secure. With regards to the surface for installation concrete is the ideal. The fixings that are supplied with the units are designed for masonry fixing and anchor against the substance they are affixed to. The issue with wooden floor boards is that the thickness of substance to anchor against can vary and potentially they could be lifted up and the fixing bolts accessed from underneath. If however this is the only option available then I would recommend using wood fixings as this is still more secure than having the safe free standing.

The safe has been tested to give 60 min fire protection.

This unit is not suitable for the protection of back up disks against fire. We do offer a range of safes that give fire protection for CD's and DVD's or Back Up Tapes and Films should you wish to consider these options instead.

Although this safe does offer some security protection it's primary function is protection from fire. You should really be considering our Security Safes. Both the shelf and tray can be completely removed allowing you to make use of the full 410mm internal height.
