Hi
Do you check that the location is suitable before coming to fit the safe? We would like you to install the safe. I have watched the video about installation and as we have floor boards guess it will need to be attached to the wall.
Thanks,
Nicola Pettitt, Cambrisge
Unfortunately the engineers do not assess a property before installation. However if you do have floor boards I would suggest to have the safe installed into a solid brick wall also making sure there are no obstructions and any skirting boards removed prior to installation.

Hi, I will be placing an order for a Yale Safe through yourselves shortly but could I confirm that either the 1k black or 2k silver home products are definitely suitable for wall fixing as I have read a few comments that suggest they are floor only? Many thanks
Zippy
The entire range of Yale Premium (£1K Black) includes pre-drilled holes in both the back and base making them suitable for floor or wall fixing.

I need to fit this safe to a wooden floor. Is it reasonable to assume that I might drill additional holes in the base to be sure that they will align with a joist, so ensuring a secure fixing? I would also ask the same question of the Yale Certified laptop Safe.
Frank Roberts, Oban
Although not suitable for all models you could drill additional holes into the safe base, but please note, drilling additional holes will void the manufacturers warranty.

Is this safe fireproof?
K, London
This safe has no fire protection, however you may like to take a look at Yale Medium Fire Safe which does offer fire protection.
