had the lock in place for a couple of months now and find it works really well. It's easy to use via the keypad or the Yale app on the iPhone. The kids find it easy to use and the ability to unlock the door and disarm the alarm remotely is very handy at times. Still find it a little weird going out without a key but haven't had any issues so far. The only downside to this was the installation which was an absolute nightmare to arrange with Yale but luckily the guys at Safe sorted it out in the end. All in all a really good product, looks nice, very easy to use and reassuringly safe.

The Yale Keyfree lock with Yale module is a very impressive piece of kit, both in looks and operation. It is stylish in design and oozes quality and class. Safe.co.uk in conjunction with Yale, arrange a site visit to take barrel measurements etc by a friendly, efficient and professional engineer.
He/she then toddles off and contacts you days later once everything is ready to be fitted. The work is carried out extremely quickly and without fuss and to a very high standard as you would expect from both Safe.co.uk and Yale and in my case they left the work area tidier and cleaner than when they arrived!
The lock comes with an excellent instruction manual which you probably won't need as the engineers run you through the key features before they leave. I was comfortable with operating the lock within 10 minutes of their leaving and I have been using the lock for 2 weeks now, trouble free. I would recommend leaving the system unmuted for the first few days so that you can reassure yourself everything is working properly. If you do make a mistake, it does tell you! Once you are comfortable I'm sure you will want to mute the annoying voice as quickly as I did.
Just one thing to consider, if you want a Key fob for ease of use or for a backup (the lock has an old fashioned key if you forget the PIN and key fob) the supplied Yale module is sufficient. If you want to incorporate your lock into your smart home setup (as I did with my Samsung Smart Things) you will need to purchase the Z-Waves module to replace the Yale module. Replacing it is very straightforward.
If I was you, I'd buy the Yale key free lock. It's definitely the future.
