Details
The Yale Keyless with Yale Module Smart Lock allows you to access and protect your property without a key. The Smart Lock is unlocked by either your own 4-12 digit PIN code via the backlit keypad, a key card a key tag or the Yale Home System App.

When used in conjunction with the Yale Smart Home Alarms or Yale CCTV the Yale Home System App (available for iOS and Android) allows you to unlock your door remotely from anywhere, providing you have internet access on your SmartPhone.

The Smart Lock is powered by 4x AA batteries which are included. If the batteries run flat there are external emergency battery contacts suitable for a 9v battery. The door can be opened from the inside by simply pulling the handle, for quick and easy exit in case of fire or emergency.

The Yale Yale Keyless Smart Lock must be used in conjunction with a Nightlatch and is an affordable Smart Lock option.

The Yale Keyless Smart Lock is also available with a Z-Wave Module.

Does this lock have snib or something similar to the night latch to stop the door locking behind you momentarily.

You would need a night latch to work along side the Yale Keyless Digital Lock. I can recommend the Yale Keyless Connected Lock Kit + Y3 Night Latch (Polished Chrome) which includes a snib button.

Will this system work with Nest or should I use the Yale Android App?

Unfortunately the nest operating system is not yet compatible with the Yale Keyless range. However as long as you have a third party automation system you can download the Yale app.

How many individual codes can we programme? Is there a way to report on use by each user?

The Keyless Digital Lock supports 20 PIN codes but does not have an audit trail facility.The Keyless with Z-Wave Module - Chrome () does have the facility of an audit trail when connected to a Z-Wave Smart Home System.

An alternative is the Codelocks CL5010 - Key Override which has up to 90 user codes and can be upgraded to include an audit facility if needed.

Can you use the Yale app to open this lock? I understand that it can be opened with the card or tag but can you only use the app to operate the lock if you have a complete alarm or CCTV system as well or is the feature standalone?

The Yale app can be used to operate this lock but this must be used in conjunction with a Yale Easy Fit alarm or CCTV system which can be connected with a Yale Easy Fit CCTV / Alarm Link USB Adaptor.

Does this include a compatible night latch, or does that have to be purchased separately?

The Yale Keyless locks must be fitted with a nightlatch. This model doesn't come with one as standard and will need to be purchased separately. The Yale Y3 - Standard Night Latch is one that we recommend.
