So after purchasing a smart lock that doesn't know if it's locked or not (Yale cone is l1) and a smart alarm that can not natively talk to its other products I had no option but to buy this module. It's ridiculously over priced and adds no extra functionality other than allowing it to show in the smart alarm app which it should do anyway. Also if you want HomeKit connectivity....you can't as it's not out yet and no doubt will be another plugin module.

Avoid these products until they are properly designed and tested with apps that work flawlessly.

I can not recommend Yale at all.

App based assistance makes the installation of the module super easy. Module talks to the Yale home alarm system quickly and I haven't had it drop in all the months it's been in.

Now the smart lock is in constant connection with the alarm hub the batteries in the lock now seem to last only 4-5 months. Worth it though for the remote control I now have.

Hi, I have this module which came with my Yale keyless smart lock. I have 2 questions related to opening the lock remotely:
Q1. Can I use a key fob with this module or is it a different module I have to purchase?
Q2. Am I able to use the Yale IOS app to open the lock or do I need to have a Yale alarm to do this which I do not?
Thanks,
Andy
Andy Strong, London
This module allows the use or operation of the lock via your Smartphone (IOS or Android) but you do need to have a Yale Smart Home Alarm installed. You would require the Yale Smart Lock Remote Module should you wish to unlock via a keyfob but the the Keyless locks only have the provision for one module at a time.

Can you use the App and still have a pin entry for access without a smartphone? E.g. My husband gains access by App and I use a pin?
Lucie, Surrey
Yes, even though your preference is to open the door by your Yale App, you can still program a pin code for members of the family or guests.
