I spent ages looking for a safe... it needed to be solid/deep with enough room for growth ;) and I definitely wanted one with just one main key to worry about - this fit the bill.. Solid as a rock, and also came lined with carpet!

With all the safes out there, one thing that is missing from all retailers is a rough ammo count that the ammo compartment will actually hold, so had to make an educated guess! With this safe it is actually a decent size! I've tried and easily fit in around 2000 rounds of .22 and another 1500 full bore rounds (~500x 223/308/38)

This safe is very deep. You could fit a lot more rifles in it if it had barrel spacers on each side rather than the single one on the back - a little DIY will fix this though :)

Word of warning - this safe is v. heavy!!! hard work taking it up 6 flights of stairs :(

Very study and well built. I had to use my own purchased wall anchors to attach to the wall.

Good capacity and well finished. Removing the foam barrel slots allows for guns to be stored in their plastic cases standing upright (mine fit anyway).

All in all very happy.

I ordered and took delivery of a Buffalo River Silver Gun Cabinet in November 2018 following a random search on the internet. The Safe website was clear and concise, ordering process was quick and simple and the product is of excellent quality, very good value for money. Only very slight hiccup was when the delivery driver claimed not to be able find our farm on the due date - this was a third party issue and was very quickly resolved by the team at Safe, cabinet arrived the following day. Communication throughout was good, no reservations at all. Highly recommended.

The Buffalo River Silver 7 Gun Safe is of very solid construction with no flexing. The internal ammunition safe is of decent size and the walls are lined to prevent scratching of your rifles. The internal side of the door has a rack that is perfect for storing your cleaning rods which is a nice feature.

What drew me specifically to the Silver 7 Gun Safe was its footprint of 360x360mm which is the same as the Buffalo River Key Lock 37.9Ltr Ammo Safe. What this allowed me to do was to mount the 37.9Ltr Ammo Safe above the gun safe with it looking very neat and tidy.

Now a little bit about wall mounting the Buffalo River Silver 7 Gun Safe. My house is of modern construction so has thermalite block internal walls. Unfortunately, the supplied anchor bolts are not suitable for thermalite blocks. After much research I decided to use chemical fixings, specifically Fischer FIS A M10 threaded rods with Fischer FIS V Plus 360s injection mortar since Fischer has specifically tested this fixing method in Thermalite blocks. I personally would recommend using the Fischer PBB drill bit that will drill an undercut hole in the Thermalite block and the Fischer high pressure resin gun since they make the job so much easier. If during installation you have to enlarge the fixing holes due to misalignment with the drilled holes in the wall, you will need to use a high-quality cobalt stepped drill bit due to the toughness of the steel used in the gun safe’s construction.

When moving the Buffalo River Silver 7 Gun Safe take extra care since it is quite heavy and will tip over if you open the door without it being secured to a wall or floor.
