Most wireless cameras are powered by rechargeable lithium batteries and can have a battery life of up to one year on some CCTV kits. It's important to charge your batteries before they become too lower on power to ensure you don't lose camera coverage of your home. When your cameras need to be charged, aim to charge them while you're home to prevent possible security breaches.

Wireless CCTV kits often don't require specialist installation and are simple to mount, coming with mount kits to make installation easy for the user. The only additional equipment you will typically need is a drill to mount the cameras to a solid wall, while many CCTV kits come with drill templates to ensure proper installation. Some cameras are mounted directly to a wall or ceiling, while some are detachable from the mount for convenient charging.
