This safe is solidly built, easy to use and looks discrete. It can be affixed to both wall and floor (bolts are supplied with the safe), which gives additional flexibility as to location, especially in Victorian properties. Pricing is in the upper tier, but fair value for money vs the quality.

We had wanted to use the fingerprint scanner but it's awful to set up and incredibly unreliable when used, so we gave up and have had to use two codes instead.

When using it this way, we really like the ease of use but it's a real shame, especially in this day and age, that the fingerprint scanner is so unreliable and time-consuming as to render it useless, hence only four stars.

Build quality looks good, although we aren't safe experts and haven't owned one before, so how it compares to other safes in that regard is impossible to say.

There are safes with a larger storage capacity, longer fire protection, and internal lighting and carpeting for less money but this one had the dimensions that would fit where we wanted to put it with only a small amount of modification. One very good thing is that this safe allows for it to be affixed either to the floor or the wall, which not all of them have.

With regard to value for money, slightly disappointingly, despite keeping an eye on the safe for several months, by the time we bought it, it had never been on sale. However, as one might expect, as soon as we purchased the safe, it went on sale, which would have saved us almost seventy pounds.

Overall, other than the points above, we are pleased with the safe.
