Our Mechanical Digital Door Locks are perfect for adding security to a bedroom door and can be fitted easily. You may prefer to look at digital door locks with a key override so that you can always gain access yourself.

Asec is a budget brand, specialising in affordable security solutions. There is no reason though, why the AS2300 cannot be used in a busy office.

You may prefer to look at a more recognised brand such as Digital Door Locks by Codelocks or Kaba.

There are no re-set or override codes for the mechanical locks. Once a code has been set, this code alone will allow access. We do also offer locks such as the Codelocks CL255 - Key Override which have a key that will override the combination lock to allow access should you wish to consider this.

This product is supplied as standard with a 60mm backset latch. When you add the product to your basket, you have the option to add a 50mm or 70mm latch to your order if needed.

The Asec AS2300 is only operable from one side and is not designed for external applications as it is not weather resistant. You might be interested to look at the Codelocks CL290 - Back to Back which is weather resistant and has a keypad on both sides.

The AS2300 can easily be fitted to a wooden door by following the installation instructions that are supplied. The code can also be changed by following the AS2300 User Guide.

Yes, when the door closes it triggers the deadlatch locking the door. The door can be opened normally from the inside but the PIN code is required from the outside.

There is also a switch on the inside that allows you to temporarily turn off the PIN code if required. This allows access from the outside without the PIN and is called Latch Holdback.
