This has to be the leading gunsafe, its strength, precision of engineering, and standard of finish cannot be found else where.

The whole process was so simple and straight foreward, that you just can't fail to be delighted with the effort this supplier goes to on your behalf.

I purchased a Tucana GS8011K 3 gun safe after reading many on line articles and reviews and decided to go for the additional security that seemed to be afforded by a gun safe as opposed to a gun cabinet. The on line purchase was straight forward and it arrived on the day advised, extremely well packed and in perfect condition. Having had the chance to install this safe and use it for a little while, I am very pleased with it overall; the build quality is good with the case looking like it's folded from one sheet so building in rigidity and strength and well able to resist a sustained attack. The door is held in place by four bolts that extend and retract on operation of the handle, a fifth on the rear is fixed - all of which means any attempt to lever it off with a crow bar or similar will probably fail. Internally there's rubber holders to keep your guns held upright without damaging the barrels and separated from each other. The gun pushes into these nicely with just the right amount of resistance to make installing the gun easy but you know the gun is held securely. So once it's installed correctly, your guns are as safe as they can be from unwanted attention.

The only negative points I would make are the fixing kit supplied is not really suitable; two very long screws and standard rawlplugs are not going to provide a strong enough fixing in my opinion. I went to my local DIY store and purchased a pack of anchor bolts and large diameter washers for only a few pounds and these provide a solid fixing; I had a full on session trying to get this off the wall and it is rock solid. The internal locking compartment is fairly small, my hands aren't exactly chunky but I have trouble reaching in; we use it for small documents and spare car keys and it's great for that. The other 'negatives' are really minor and more personal preference. I have changed the supplied floor covering with a piece of 5mm thick foam rubber (again from DIY store) as the original looked a bit thin to me and I thought the stock might get marked, personal preference as I say; and not being able to remove the very long key when the door is open can cause a few issues but this is more due to the enclosed space the safe is installed in.

Overall I am very pleased and I would buy another and I would buy it from Safe.co.uk

Love this cabinet - the internal locker is great for valuables as well as it's intended use as cartridge store!! Cabinet as described, arrived quickly and easy to fit

The safe was a perfect size for the available gap as I only had room for a very narrow unit. This was due to it having to be fitted next to an existing gun cabinet. The supplied fixings were not substantial enough for the securing of the cabinet and more substantial wall bolt fixings purchased.

I have only three suggestions and improvements that would have made the unit perfect and help the ease of use score,

1) The key is too long and can only be removed when the door is locked in the open position in my case the door opens directly against a wall and the key has to come out to open the door to remove the rifle.

2) There is no provision to easily mount an alarm security contact to the door or frame.

3) The internal top lock box opening is too small and with big hands is difficult to pick up ammo, magazines or the bolt through the narrow slot, another 2.5cm height would certainly help.

Finally the installed cabinet easily passed the Police inspection.

Delivery was very quick from placing the order on a Sunday and the unit well packed with no damage when opened. It was very substantial as indicated by the weight and even with two adults a considerable effort required to install.
