Where do the cameras get there power from ?

The cameras are powered by the Ethernet camera cables connected to the Network Video Recorder box.

I am considering a Swann 2 or 4 camera solution but was hoping to have the recording box in a different location to my router. Can these connect remotely?

unfortunately the DVR box can only be connected to a router via the Ethernet cable, they can not do this remotely.

Is it possible to set this system to record all of the time rather than just with the motion detect?

The system can be set to record constantly via the Swann App or alternatively set to record when motion is detected.
