If the motion sensor picks up movement can the built in speaker also sound as a siren?

The Yale Smart Living Wi-Fi Camera With Pan, Tilt & Zoom does have a built in mic & speaker however it does not have a siren functionality.

Can this camera be switched on all night to record throughout the night and not just by motion seniority.

Yes you can toggle between constant recording and motion at anytime, however motion detection would be best to reserve memory on the micro-SD card or drop box feature.

How would this work with cats in the home? Can it be set to not detect movement under 25kg like the pet friendly PIR's? If not, then what are the options for having this in the home with cats?

This product does not have a pet friendly mode so will detect pet movement and record when set to motion detection.

This IP camera needs to connect to the internet in order to send images and videos to your Smartphone or tablet. The camera is Wi-Fi enabled but can also connect to your internet router via the supplied Ethernet cable.

Could this camera just pick up sound? I want it to send a message to my iPhone when my intruder alarm goes off. How would it notify me. Would it be by text or email etc?

The camera will record a live video feed including sound. When set to motion detection, you would be notified via a push notification via the app. However this item would be a separate entity to your alarm system, one would not trigger the other.

Can this camera be secured hanging upside down from a ceiling beam, will the performance be degraded if I extend the 1.2 mtr power lead?

This camera needs to be positioned up right as the image will not automatically invert. Extending the power cable should not effect performance.
